The Name at the Bottom Natalie’s POV I arrived early on purpose. The boardroom on the thirty-second floor was still mostly empty when I walked in, the long glass table reflecting the morning light in sharp white rectangles. I chose a seat near the middle of the far side, close enough to see the screen clearly, far enough that no one would look at me first when the room filled. I had seen the final deck two days ago. Daniel had sent around the design and marketing leads with a cheerful note that said “final version for Friday — let me know if anyone sees anything off.” I had opened it alone at my desk after hours.
