CHAPTER NINETEEN JUNE 10TH, 7:30 AM MC LAIN HOME I wake up this morning with the full intent of going to the office and then realize it's Saturday. Blondie’s not home, the kids are watching cartoons, and I will have to get my own breakfast—and maybe the kids’ breakfasts. “Hey kids, have you eaten breakfast?” They don’t hear me over the loud voices of the cartoon characters. I walk into the living room and see that Huckleberry Hound is on the television, and they are totally absorbed. “Hey, have you kids eaten?” They nod yes before mother left. So, back to the kitchen, where I pull down a box of Shredded Wheat, empty a couple of rectangles into the bowl, break them apart, and pour the milk.
