CHAPTER FIFTY-TWO
JUNE 5, 9 AM
GLOBE, ARIZONA
Today is cooler in Phoenix, so I decide to take another drive to Globe. This time with Jimmy Doe’s picture to see if I can find anyone there that knows him.
I check in with the sheriff, who doesn’t recognize him and has no leads to follow. This means I will walk the main street and ask some of the shop owners if they know him. If that doesn’t work, then on to the reservation to try communicating with some of the Indians.
I walk the two blocks of the main street, talking to people. No one recognizes Jimmy Doe nor gives any information. Once again, I stop at the local eatery. A couple of guys are at the counter, and one of the tables is occupied. I walk up to the table and show the picture. No response. The two guys at the counter are truck
