Mason parked at the back of the lot and tried his best to stay out of sight. He didn’t want Megan calling for a ride back to his place, or for Slade to offer her a ride, so he showed up. But he wasn’t sure how he was going to get her to his Jeep without drawing the attention of the others.
Slade parked near the front of the bridal shop and turned off his engine. Mason couldn’t see what he was doing, but he kept an eye on the vehicle. With any luck, when Kyra was done, they would leave before either of them noticed Mason.
Archer pulled up next. He went to Slade’s truck and spoke to him before going inside. Mason breathed a sigh of relief and slunk down in his seat even more. He kept his gaze on the door to the shop with an occasional glance toward Slade. So far, so good.
