Lady Vanessa walked towards the front and I could no longer see her because of my spot behind the curtains.
I reluctantly took a step forward towards the stone railings of the wide terrace, only to step back again when I saw a couple of armed guards standing behind the carriage where the Lady Vanessa came from.
I clutched at the curtains as I heard their voices muffled and faded due to the distance. For some reason, I badly wanted to hear what they were going to talk about. I wanted to know why she came here specifically for Calum.
