CHAPTER 42: Night Skies I found myself alone in one dark room the moment the door closed. I watched Calum when he left just as immediately when he took me in. I initially thought he’d stay, but he suddenly stopped walking me towards the center of the room the moment we got in. I watched him then when he looked mindlessly in the air, as if concentrating on something. When he said a reply and his eyes suddenly illuminated, that’s when I realized someone was talking to him through that telepathy they could do. He looked at me again. “Rest. I’ll come back later.” I didn’t say anything and just nod. Those silver eyes trailed on me for a while and his hands slowly lost its grip on me. I suddenly didn’t want to let go, but I kept myself from doing what I really wanted to do. Keep him here.
