Mateus leaned up against the bar and crossed his arms over the top of it, his eyes never leaving mine.
Chrissy was still freaking out about the broken glass around my feet.
"Move girl!" She used her arms to dramatically show me which way I should be moving.
Rick came over with a broom. "Watch out sweet, I got it."
As soon as Rick spoke, Mateus's eyes narrowed in on him.
"Sweet?" He asked venomously.
I still hadn't uttered a word, my heart was beating so hard, my chest was starting to ache.
