MAYA'S POV-
It's kind of crazy how fast things can actually go back to normal. Not that I can say every thing was exactly 'normal.'
Jake was back with Ella and she rode up with us to Washington that morning. Although she clung to him, she talked my ear off. She was completely grateful to me for giving her the courage to come, for me calling her. And of course it was revealed to Jake what I had done... He stared at me quite intently when he heard that part. It made me nervous... But Andy kept me pressed tightly against his side the whole ride, comforting me with back rubs and kisses to my temple.
I watched him shoot Jake a few warning glares and then Jake would look away.
