"I'm leaving the island," Bella said.
Lucaon felt his whole world shatter into a million pieces, and he had a hard time piecing them back together to understand the meaning of the words that came out of Bella's mouth.
'Leaving,' echoed in his mind. Lucaon's wide eyes returned to normal after a few seconds.
"You're kidding..."
Lucaon paused, waiting for Bella to tell him that she was just joking. However, seconds passed, and the answer he got made it harder to piece his world back together.
Bella slowly shook her head. She had finally made up her mind to leave the island. She had decided to forget everything that had happened on the island after she returned to the mainland. She had the resolve to leave him and his land.
Even though doing so would hurt them both, Bella had no choice.
