Chris stormed into the boss's chambers, his anger and resentment boiling over. "You're making a huge mistake," he spat, his eyes blazing with fury. "We're on the verge of something huge, and you're just going to let it slip away." The boss, seated behind his desk, looked up at Chris with a mixture of amusement and annoyance. "I think I know what I'm doing, Chris," he said, his voice dripping with condescension. "I've built this empire from the ground up. I know how to run it." Chris's face turned red with rage. "You know how to run it into the ground, maybe," he snarled. "You're too soft, too weak. You're going to get us all killed." The boss raised an eyebrow. "And I suppose you think you're the one to take my place?" he sneered. "You're nothing but a power-hungry little upstart. You'll never be able to hold this empire together." Chris's smile was cold and calculated. "We'll see about that," he said, his voice dripping with malice. With a swift motion, he drew a dagger from his belt and plunged it into the boss's chest. The boss's eyes widened in shock as he slumped forward, dead. Chris stood over him, his chest heaving with exertion. "You're right," he said to himself. "I will take your place. And I'll make sure that everyone knows who's in charge now." As the guards rushed in to investigate the commotion, Chris smiled and nodded to his loyal followers, who had been waiting outside. "Take care of them," he ordered. "Show them what it means to cross me." The guards, sensing the shift in power, quickly complied. They seized the other leaders of the empire and brought them before Chris, who sneered at them with contempt. "You're all just pawns," he spat. "You think you're better than me? You think you're worthy to rule this empire? I'll show you what it means to be a true leader." With a wave of his hand, Chris ordered the slaves to be brought before him. When they arrived, he sneered at them with disdain. "You're all nothing but animals," he spat. "You need to be broken, and I'm the one to do it." The slaves cowered before him, trembling with fear. Nk, who was watching from the sidelines, felt a surge of anger and determination. He knew that things were about to get a lot worse. "Let's see what you're made of," Chris sneered, cracking his whip. "We'll work you until you drop, and then we'll work you some more. You'll be nothing but beasts of burden, and you'll be grateful for it." The slaves whimpered and begged for mercy, but Chris just laughed. "You'll learn to obey," he snarled. "You'll learn to fear me." As the days turned into weeks, the empire descended into chaos and brutality. Chris ruled with an iron fist, crushing any opposition and treating the slaves with contempt. Nk and Ktema exchanged worried glances, knowing that they had to escape before it was too late. But for now, they had to bide their time and wait for the perfect moment to strike.
