chapter 8

The days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into months. Chris's rule was brutal, and the slaves were pushed to their limits. Nk and Ktema were forced to work tirelessly, their bodies aching from the relentless labor. Kelvin, who had managed to keep a low profile, was often beaten and mistreated by Chris's men. But Nk, Ktema, and Kelvin never gave up. They secretly planned and plotted, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The slaves were treated like animals, forced to live in squalid conditions and fed meager rations. Chris and his men lived in luxury, enjoying the fruits of their labor. One day, the slaves had had enough. They rose up, fueled by their anger and determination. Nk, Ktema, and Kelvin led the charge, fighting against Chris's men with every ounce of strength they had. The battle was intense, with slaves and guards clashing in a frenzy of violence. Nk, Ktema, and Kelvin fought bravely, taking down Chris's men one by one. The slaves, empowered by their desire for freedom, overwhelmed their captors. In the end, it was just Nk, Ktema, and Kelvin who faced Chris. Chris, realizing his empire was crumbling, sneered at them. "You'll never win," he spat. Nk stepped forward, his eyes locked on Chris. "Goodbye, my friend," he said, his voice cold and detached. "You've had this coming for a long time." With a swift motion, Kelvin ended Chris's life. The three of them shared a look, a sense of closure washing over them. The compound erupted in flames as they escaped, the sound of explosions and screams filling the air. Nk, Ktema, and Kelvin managed to escape, along with the other slaves. As they emerged into the sunlight, they cheered and wept, hugging each other in joy. Nk's phone, which he had managed to recover, rang. It was his mom, her voice trembling with worry. "Nk, is that you? I've been trying to reach you for months!" Nk's eyes welled up with tears as he heard his mom's voice. "Mom, it's me. I'm safe. I'm coming home." His mom's voice was overjoyed. "I've booked a flight for you and Kelvin to London. You'll be home soon, baby." Nk smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He looked at Kelvin, who grinned back. "We're going home, mate." The two friends shared a look, their eyes shining with tears. They were finally going home. They reached England and when they reached London they went straight to theirs homes got some rest and refreshed their minds. Kelvin needed therapy because what happened to him made him paranoid, everytime he would walk down the street. Nk on the other had learnt to give because he lost a friend due to selfishness , so he wanted to give the people in need what they deserve *The* *End*
