Chapter 6

1825 Words
Logans pov     Two hours later after Nate left my house we’re all gathered outside the club. One of the clubs is called Mint. Don’t ask me why because at the time I wasn’t serious about owning a club yet alone owing two of them. I took it as a joke when my board of executives suggested that we cater to the age demographic between eighteen and twenty five in my area. Also, that being in a rather youthful town right by a University would draw in more revenue. So I decided to run the numbers and look at the local competitors to see if this would be profitable. Surprisingly, there weren't any clubs within an hour of the university. However, that didn’t stop the students from partying at those clubs even if they are an hour away. The university strongly frowns upon house parties or any partying within a certain distance so there weren’t too many of those. If there were any house parties they were at one of the rich athletes' houses. So I purchased the land and the buildings of this huge abandoned plaza. It was a town over from the campus near the downtown area of their small town. Roughly 30 minutes out from the campus. In the plaza, I placed two clubs and turned what used to be a huge outlet department store into a huge skating rink for the community of the small town. The businesses turned into hot spots for the students at the university in less than a year turnaround time, also people an hour away were coming here to my clubs. The best part of this and all my businesses is that only a few know who truly owns it. The only time I was here was to do a few inspections, look over the books, and nights like this... “You didn’t have to drive your car, I could have been the designated driver tonight,” Jayson says as I hand the valet driver our car keys.  “You know like I know that if I don’t drive then that means we have to all leave together and that's just a setup to put me behind on work that I should be working on now.” I say as we walk past the long line of people. The men in line were upset that we had the balls to jump the line. As the women are fully aware of who I am and wanted to grab my attention to get in. It’s not my fault I’m a multi-millionaire and soon-to-be billionaire. I can’t help it if paparazzi report on me and my net worth along with the other things they think I'm doing.  Chad and Nate are behind us talking to a few of the girls in line trying to get their night started early with a few girls. They quickly latch on to them just to get into the club. But of course, they don’t know that.  “Chad, Nate, hurry up with your selections. I don’t have all night.” I say looking over my shoulder. My face shows my irritation and impatience as I look back.  “Come on, lighten up Logan,” Jayson says as he nudged my shoulder “If you’re going to be grouchy all night you’ll just piss yourself off even more. Just relax.”  Jayson is the type of guy that eases any situation down to the chillest vibe. My only rational friend as it may seem. He did save me from being expelled and saved Nate to keep his hand attached to his body. He’ll be a senior this coming school year and I’m going to miss him when he graduates. Because I’ll be stuck with these two.  I groaned under my breath and rolled my eyes to the fact he was right. He’s always f*****g right and it bothers me so. Although that’s why I admire him the way I do. “Fine, I won’t complain anymore,” I stated walking through security. “I called ahead to reserve my section. I’ll be there if you need me.” I say walking off from the boys towards the section. The club was huge and full which of course made me smile. Seeing my investment profit makes me the happiest. There were women wall to wall and men spending their hard earned parents’ trust fund on them.  My section was in the sky keeping an eye on all of it. I hardly came here to party. I’m not the partying type of girl. I carry a lot of people on my shoulders who believe in me and my promises to them. I promised our community that we will not crumble that no matter what it takes I’ll make sure everyone was taken care of. Sounds like a speech a politician would give right before doing the same community grimy right? However, I take every single promise I take seriously. No matter how hard, how long, or how tired I was, I will fulfill my promises.  Leaning on the railing of the top floor I look down at the boys. Chad and Nate quickly find out that the girls that walked in with them used them to get in. I can’t help but giggle. They’re sweet but so naive. They turn away with their tails between their legs like beaten dogs at their own game. I feel bad for them in a way, they’re my boys. So I do what any club owner would do. KICK THESE BITCHES OUT.  Walking over to my security guard I whisper to him to kick the bitches out and to tell the boys to come up here. He calls over the radio my instructions and the scene is about to take place. The boys finally make it up here right before the girls are about to be escorted out. “Come over here and look at this. I want to show you something.” Chad walks over first and instantly starts laughing.  “DUDE! You really just kicked them out of the club, just like that?” Chad said in between his laughter.  “Let me see man!” Nate says pushing Chad out the way.  Chad is laughing so hard you would think he’s getting more of a kick out of this than me.  “Of course I did, you think I would just let you boys get played like that? f**k that.” I said sitting down on the couch next to Jayson who’s laughing along with Chad.  “Ah man, that’s too bad.” Nate said.  “Why are you upset? They literally used you to get in?” Jayson says  “I know, but you know me, I like the chase. Once I put on the Mack moves they won’t know what to do.”  Picking up the pillow from the couch I threw it at him, “Shut the f**k up, what mack moves? You got played step one!” I laugh at Nate as he throws the pillow back. Everyone’s laughing so hard Chad’s on the floor laughing.  “Chad I don’t know why you’re laughing, you were there with me quote getting played.” “Yeah, but I wasn’t going to chase the b***h” Chad quickly replies.  “Okay, boys how about this, a friendly competition.” I suggest. One thing about us is we will compete. Especially Chad and Nate.  Chad and Nate have been friends since day one. They do practically everything together. Both are on the basketball team and both get playing time. Chad is fair skinned and has the prettiest emerald green eyes, freckles, with ginger hair. A true redhead as he tells it. And I don’t want to know if he’s lying or not. He and Jayson are both shorter than me, standing roughly five foot ten. Chad is a school year older than me and Nate and was Nate’s only friend after I broke his hand. At the time I and Nate weren’t friends but he was there to protect him from the harsh hazing they were trying to give him. Chad has been there in more ways than one for Nate. A true best friend. Until a girl is involved then it’s what’s a best friend? “I’m out.” Jayson quickly says.  “No you have to play, you made me come here too so you have to compete and actually try Jayson.” I counter just as quickly.  “Logan you can’t play though.” Nate whined “Nathaniel! Stop whining. Why can’t I play you brought me here to and I quote meet a new distraction that I don’t need” I snapped  “Because, every girl, even the straight ones turn bi-curious for you. EVERY SINGLE ONE.”  “And that’s my fault, why? I can’t help that these girls are shallow. I play the hand that I was given.” “Still doesn’t make it fair Logan and you know it!”  Chad and Nate say at the same time. They do that a lot.  “Fine new rule then. I’ll have my security bring fifteen girls to the section. All at random. And I won’t play. Even though the reason is stupid. No one knows what they look like. Whoever gets the most numbers wins. Sounds fair ?”  “Not fair for these boys because these green eyes are sure to take the win.” Chad says winking at me. I just laugh.  “Yeahhh right, do see the muscles and girls like men over six feet. Not little boys like you two.” Nate counters  “Yet, I’m the only starter between you two and I’m the quarterback, oh wait, between the two of you I’m the only one with rings.” Jayson says sarcastically.  “Well boys, time to put your game where your mouth is. The person with the least amount of numbers will drive me to the airport at the ass crack of dawn. If there is a tie. I’ll think of something. Oh and I’m not going to leave the section. So if the girls surround themselves around me that’s your job to get them off. Well let the games begin.”
