Chapter 1
Some people are rich but are not happy, some say money brings happiness well that's not case for Grace. Yes she inherited companies but all she ever wanted was to be a chef and open her own line of restaurants.
When the opportunity comes knocking why not take it, it's her dream after all
Grace hurriedly ran up the stairs since she is already late, she might be rich yes but still she's a down to earth person, one of the most wealthiest lady's in the world and still joins a competition to prove she also can work hard for whatever she wants.
"you are late" came a voice in front of her, the guy is dressed like a chef
"I'm sorry.....I had...something to...take care of before coming" Grace said trying to catch her breath
"you either want to become a chef or you leave and go take care of your company" he said starring down at her like she doesn't belong there, "hurry up the others are waiting" he said going in.
"hurry up the others are waiting" She mimicked him under her breath uttering silent curses.
She entered the wide kitchen were 2 other contestants stood, its the finals a she left because she had something to take care of at the company.
"You may now begin" the host said after everyone was settled.
After an hour
"we've tasted all the meals and they were all exceptional and as we all know only one was outstanding and only one can be the winner of this competition. The host will announce the winner of this years Chef Challenge" the first judge said while the rest of the judges nodded in response
Everyone began praying to hoping their name is called and not the others.
"This years winner of Chef challenge goes to the most talented person, not saying you all are not talented if not you won't had reached the finals" he stopped talking and hall became agitated to know the winner, well as for Grace she was already seeing the possibility of failing and disappointing her 5 year old grand niece
"and the winner is....... Grace Richardson" at the mention of her name, Grace joy knew no bounds.
"she's rich, I bet she bribed the judges"
"What's the need of joining the competition when she's already made it in life"
"If I was that rich I would've just bought the certificate"
Although Grace heard all these comments she did not care so long she won fair and square, and did not even use an ounce of magic, yeah yeah she's a witch amongst humans. Supernaturals roam the earth as normal people though most of them live in secluded areas, and for there to be balance , there will always be the good and the bad.
Grace collected her rewards thanking the judges and smiling for the camera. Forgetting all her worries and the fact that she knew the dark one will rise that same day.
Somewhere in a deserted area, people in dark cloaks could be seen, some of formed a circle around what looked like a coffin besides an open grave
"sir we are ready only your blood remains to complete the ritual" said a lady in under the cloak.
"here I already drained some blood from myself" a dude under a mask said handing her a tiny bottle filled with his blood of which she took and went to meet the others to complete their spell.
As they chanted the sky began rumbling and getting darker as the clouds blocked the sun.
They chanted much louder and powerful than before and the began shaking as thunder stroke in every direction. They then stopped and pour the blood on the chains binding the coffin. A minute passed and still no reaction. The mask guy was already loosing his patience, the chains got broken while the lid flew and landed far away from the group of witches.
A man stood up from the coffin in medieval cloths looking around.
"welcome back dark one" the witches chorused together and he gave a toothy smile
Somewhere far away
"he is back, the earth shall crumble under his reign for the next 15 years until the savior is of age to save us all. Run mankind and hide the dark one has risen"
