*Readers, sorry it is taking me so long to get more chapter's out to you. My family and I have fallen ill, and with taking care of them, and getting my own rest I have not been able to work on my story. As my head clears up from the sinus congestion and I get more energy, know this story is top priority to me. Thank you for your understanding. Hope you all are staying healthy. (11-12-21) Siegmund and I stood in front of the truck, staring into each other’s eyes. Sig brought his hand up, gently placing it at the nap of my neck. Tilting his head, he slowly brought his lips down to mine and for a moment the world around us disappeared. Feeling the sparks shooting throughout our bodies from the mate bond. I wrapped my arms around Sigs waist pulling him into a closer embrace. Staying in the embrace, but pulling back from the kiss, we stared into each other’s eyes. A low growl coming from the shadows of the building brought me back to reality.             I whispered to Sig, “do you hear that?” Nodding at me in confirmation that he too heard the growl.             Without moving from the embrace, I said, “hiding amongst the shadows does you no good.” I then began to see movement over Siegmund’s shoulder and could hear movement behind me. Crap thinking to myself it looks like we are surrounded. Lightly I pushed Sig and then moved myself, so our backs were to the truck. Not the best idea, but it meant our attackers would have to come at us head on.               I took up a fighting stance and then asked, “who are you and what do you want?”             A voice amongst those around us said, “who we are is of no concern to you, what we want is your cooperation in bringing you to our master.”             Smugly I replied, “I don’t know who your master is, but it will be a cold day in hell before I willingly go with the likes of any of you.”             “No worries, we came prepared, knowing you would not cooperate,” the voice said. That had me a little concerned, out of my peripheral I could see Sig was tense, but ready for a fight if it came to that.             “Before you move forward with this plan of yours might I say this will not end well for any of you.”             “Oh, future luna that is where you are wrong, this is going to end very well for us,” glee came from the spokesperson. At which point Sig looked at me confusion written all over his face. I shook my head with my own confusion, trying to show to him I had no idea what this person was talking about. While we were distracted for that brief moment, the group moved forward with their attack. I had Fey move as forward as she could without actually shifting, thus utilizing her strength. The first attacker came at me, I sumo squatted and gave a direct punch to his nards. Grabbing himself he fell back in pain, Fey giggled and I smiled smugly. Glancing around I noticed we were really out matched, especially being in the human town and unable to shift. Sig was doing his best, but barely holding his ground. Two came at me next, I punched one square in the nose, and I heard a pop as blood gushed all over. Awesome, I broke his nose thinking to myself. I was not so lucky with the second one, he managed to get in and grab my right arm. To bad for him my left was still open, I extended Fey’s claws and with a downward motion sliced him from chest to navel. He let me go screaming. The next attack I was definitely not expecting. One had gone under the truck and grabbed me at the ankle therefore, limiting my movement. As three goons moved in on me, I tried to get my leg free, but it wasn’t happening. I gave a left hook to one, and an upper cut to another however, it wasn’t enough. As two grabbed my arms, the third came at me with something in his hand. I tried to move, but I was stuck. Just as I was going to let me alpha aura out the attacker with what turned out to be a cloth in his hand cupped it over my face. Within seconds I felt light headed, weak and my eyes grew heavy. Oh no, thinking to myself these a-holes drugged me. I could no longer see, but I continued to hear what was happening around me. I could hear orders being given, Sig was yelling and seemed to still be fighting. Then I heard it the words any mate would dread to hear, “kill him!” Fey and I were both screaming internally, NOOO! Feeling like I was floating on a cloud, I could tell they were carrying me away from the scene and away from Sig. Someone was going to pay for this.             The voice from earlier began barking orders, “get her in the van and tie her up. Then get out of here, alpha is waiting.”             “Yes Gage,” my captor’s responded. I heard the slide of a van door, the engine starts and then we were on our way to goddess knows where. As I laid there, my body helpless. I decided to try and reach out to Fey, with no luck. What ever was on that cloth not only took my mobility, it also took Fey from me. From there I tried to pay attention to my surroundings. No one was talking, all I could here was the roar of the engine. I had some sense that my body was moving back and forth. We must be on a winding road for that much motion and the sound the vehicle made reminded me of going uphill. Maybe into the mountains. Ugh, I hate feeling this weak, I am an alpha. When I get control again and find out who is behind this throats will be ripped out.    Several hours must have passed when the vehicle finally came to a halt and shut off. My captors got out but left me where I lie. I heard the door slide open and then I heard it, the voice of the arrogant pompous a**, Diabolos.             “Finally, it’s about time you i***t’s returned,” I could hear him say. “Where is the other’s?”             “Alpha, they were finishing up. Gage told us to get her back here.”             “Good. Was she any trouble?” Diabolos asked his lackies.             “No alpha, once we got the cloth over her face, she has been in a state of sleep, just as you see now.”             “Once that wear’s off I will proceed with making her my mate and your future luna. Now, where is Walter? WALTER!”             “Alpha, I am right here,” Walter said responding to his alpha’s ridiculous call.             “Is the room ready for her arrival?” Diabolos asked.             “Yes sir, just as you asked.”             “Good. You three follow Walter and take her to our room. Walter, I expect you to stay with her until she comes too and alert me right away, I must get the mating process done before her pack realizes what has happened and tries to take her back.” Diabolos commanded and then walked away. At this point I was helpless to help myself. Gathering intel was all I could do in this state. I do believe they don’t realize I can hear them, which benefits me. Oh, Fey I wish you were here with me, I thought to myself as I could sense them removing me from the vehicle. As I was being carried, I could smell stale, dirty air. We must be in Red Moon’s Mountain, I thought. This is not looking great. This mountain was a fearsome stronghold, my pack won’t be able to get in. Even if they did, they would get lost looking for me in the tunnels. I was on my own at this point.   I had been laid down in what must be a bed, it disgusted me the smell surrounding me was not appealing at all. I heard the door close and then what sounded like a chair sliding across the floor, and someone settle into it.             “Oh, goddess what has my master done?” I heard the voice of Walter speaking out into the quiet room. “If the counsel finds out what he has done, they will be sure to put him to death as they did his father.” Well, this was interesting information, but what did his father do that the death sentence was dealt out from the counsel of werewolves, I wondered. Walter continued with his plea to the moon goddess, “what will happen to the pack and myself? I am too old to live the rest of my life out as a rogue.” As Walter finished the room grew silent. I felt sorry for this elder werewolf listening to him plead to the goddess for help. He should have a carefree life like Garard our librarian. I wonder what he has had to put up with just to stay within a pack. With Diabolos’ arrogant personality anything is possible. When I get out of this, I plan to help this, Walter. Hearing the door swing open fast and slam into the wall as it stopped pulled me out of my thoughts. Crap it was him. I could smell his stink and then came his voice, “is she moving yet?” I sensed him sit next to me.             “No alpha, she has not moved at all,” Walter sounded nervous.             “Why not? It has been hours since they snatched her, she should be coming to. I need to mate her, and quickly.”             “Alpha sir, I don’t know what the hold up is only Moira would be able to answer that for you.” Walter answered.             “Then go, get her and bring her back here…NOW,” Diabolos roared. I heard the sound of chair legs scratching the floor. After, feet scurrying and the door shutting. Then I sensed him extremely close to me, I could hear him inhale deeply. He must be scenting my neck, ewe. I want my body to work so I can smash this guy. Whatever gave him the audacity to think he could get me to be okay with this? There is no way I will mate with this jerk.             “Oh, my luna,” he began to speak. “Soon we will be bonded together, and I can have you whenever I please. You will give me powerful son’s and our pack will rule North America.” Hell no, I will not, thinking to myself. The quiet was lost by a loud, SNAP, CRACKLE, POP, and then coughing, with Walter’s familiar voice,” alpha I have brought you Moira just as you asked.”             Hearing now a female voice, “Diabolos you called? She sounded sassy. With irritation in his voice, “yes, why is the spell not wearing off yet?”             “As I tried to tell you earlier, but you shoed me away, that particular potion will take forty-eight hours to wear off.” Upon hearing this Diabolos roared, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I need to bond and mate with her now, before her pack figures out where she is. This ruins everything you stupid witch.” Ah, thinking to myself that is what’s going on with me, some sort of spell. With this information there is hope for me yet.             “Diabolos, I did try to tell you, you chose not to listen. Around forty-eight hours the effects will begin to wear off. You just keep her hidden until then.” Moira explained. “Now if you don’t need anything else I should like to go back to my room.”             Diabolos still infuriated with her replied, “no, you and Walter will stay here and monitor her progress. I want to know the minute she comes too.” And with that I heard heavy footsteps crossing the room, a door open and then slam shut. I could hear the woman Moira break the silence, “Walter what have we gotten ourselves into?”             “I don’t know Moira, but this has gotten out of hand. He has gone mad with this plan, and I now fear we are all doomed for it. Even if he takes her as a mate, he will not stop, I see the same power hungriness in him as his father had.”             “Do you think we can get ourselves out of this?” Moira asked.             “The only way would be to turn our backs on him, but that would leave us pack less, and homeless. I am too old, and where would you go, you’ve made this mountain your home for the past century.” Walter said.             “Not everyone in the pack is happy, I believe if we play our cards right, we could get through this, what do you say my dear friend, are you with me?” Moira asked. As the two of them continued to talk amongst themselves I listened, because it was the only thing I could do now. Hope filled me listening to the two of them hatch out a plan to derail Diabolos. Moira was going to make contact with my pack, while Walter watched over me. Now, I just needed this spell to wear off so I could join the fight.
