HATE FOR MATES AND WEREWOLVES

CHAPTER 8

VALEN'S POV

I drive towards the pack house in the human world to drop off Izzy as I cannot take my sister to a dangerous place. She normally will want to come along but she doesn't care this time because of the pets she keeps cuddling. How adorable. I pull up in the driveway, park and we both exit the car excitedly to meet our mum who's been stuck here for a week attending meetings for the company. My mum comes out of the house, lifts her daughter, twirls her around and then settles for a hug, I move closer and hug both of them clearly feeling left out. I give my mum a quick breakdown of everything and she nods in understanding.

"Valen, I really missed Izzy but you shouldn't have brought her".

"I know, children are not allowed to pass through 'The Haw', but you know how stubborn she is, she can't sleep without any of us and she wouldn't eat without you, dad, Damian or me".

"They can only pass through it if they have special permission from a bloodline, basically an Alpha.Valen, what if those missing cubs were taken out of the haw by an Alpha? ".

"Unfortunately, it's a possibility but there's no proof right now, we have a lead though, I'll make sure we find the cubs, so don't worry, Mama.

"I know, I trust you. Before you go, how's my second son and my other daughter".

"Mummy, Uncle Dami and Auntie Stella had a big fight, very big, but I told them to stop and they did". My mom raises an eyebrow at me to confirm if Izzy's words had any truth

"It wasn't a big fight, it was just an argument, when I was about to drop them off, Stella brought out a silver knife she had coated in wolfsbane, dami didn't want her to use it as he sees it as playing dirty, while she sees it as punishment for whichever wolf is behind the kidnapping, they stopped arguing when Izzy said stop, right my lil champ".

"Yes, because Izzy is small but strong".

"Small but mighty my dear, Valen get going, make sure you bring those cubs back home".

"Yes mum. Oh yeah, mum. The cat and dog are going to be Izzy's new pets, bye".

I drive off unhurriedly, to the lady's house where I dropped them off earlier. I'm sure there's no need for me to hurry, Damian is a capable Beta and I trust in his abilities. I just pray they didn't do anything to attract unwanted attention, we do not need the human police up in our business, that's the major reason I told them all that no one is allowed to change into their werewolf here. I park my car, enter the building and I'm shocked by the sight before me. I stare at the beautiful lady named Kira, I still cannot believe she's a criminal. I snap out of my reverie and notice Damien is battered up badly, everything is smashed to pieces. Stella is also clearly in pain. I'm climbing the stairs, I am a bit far from her door but I can see clearly because of my werewolf sight. How was she able to harm him like that. Enraged, I move quickly and silently, enter her house, rush over to the couch where she is, grabs her leg and throw her across the room with force. Normally, I would never touch women but she kidnapped innocent cubs, is maltreating them and harmed my people this much. How dare she? I'll show her how much of an insignificant pebble she really is.

She stands surprisingly, dusts herself off, then wipe the blood from her mouth with her sleeves.

"You're the cocky fool who put them up to this".

What did she just say, Did she just insult me, this tiny pebble just insulted me, the Alpha of……

She breaks my chain of angry thoughts by attacking me with a silver blade, from the smell, it's clearly covered in wolfsbane. Is that Stella's blade, great, let's add stealing to her list of crimes.

I easily dodge her first attack, so she strikes again and again but clearly she cannot scratch me, she tries again with a punch this time, I dodge it easily again. How pointless and she dares to call me a fool. Just when I was expecting another punch, she flips and uses her legs with the heel of her shoes landing a deadly blow to my head, I stumble back clearly affected by it, it hurts but it's not enough to knock me out nor take me down.

"Awwn, looks like I bruised your ego the same way I just bruised you, it's not my fault that you're a foolish leader, blame yourself for your pure stupidity, okay. Beauty without brains".

Those words flame my already blazing anger, I am going easy on her because I thought she'd give up and I don't want to hit a woman, but not anymore.

I growl loudly, a clear sign of my wolf feeling insulted by this puny pebble, I fight back the urge to change into my wolf, and just tear her apart, separating limb from limb. I know my eyes are showing a darker shade of green, it happens when I'm extremely angry. She moves to hit me again but I grab her hand, use that hand to pull her into my arms, I grab her shoulder then slam her back hard on the wall, I don't let go, I move my hand up to her neck, I just place it there, I don't tighten my hold on her neck, I just hold her in place against the wall.

"Where are the cubs?". They are my main reason for coming here, I won't let my anger make me forget my priorities. I expect some kind of struggle or, her using her hands to pry mine open but instead, she's stretching her hand to the watch- like device on the other hand, she turns something on it but nothing happens. I just sigh and tighten my hold on her neck deciding to let go of my last form of mercy.

"Where are they? For someone, who was running her mouth so confidently, you are weak, you're just an insignificant pebble, ones whose life I can end easily with a snap of my finger, now tell me where they are you tiny pebble".

"I don't know anything about any cubs, and you're going to regret calling me weak, you fool". I just roll my eyes at this stupid lady and prepare to tighten my hold a lot more when the watch-like device on her hand starts glowing and with the kind of force I have never felt before in my life. she holds my hand and throws me at the door, sending my body flying with such crazy speed and also totally destroying what was left of the already weak looking ajar door. What the hell just happened? I quickly stand up and head back to the room from the stairs she sent me flying too, my leg clearly badly bruised as well as my back. How in the world did she do that? Just who exactly is this lady, she seems like a human, a wolf and a witch at the same time, how is that possible? Is she some sort of hybrid that I'm not aware of?

I walk back with the plan to attack her and meet the door broken into so many tiny pieces, damn!!. I hear heavy panting and meet her sweating heavily and trying to catch her breath, ah , so this is the limit of her power, I must admit she's not as weak as I thought she was, but she's still not strong enough to kill me. I move ready to attack her when another glowing light shows but this one is clearly different though, some lady pops out of it and from her outer appearance, I can tell she's a witch, she grabs the pebble and thrusts into the glowing light. Before I can react , they're gone, clearly that's a teleportation spell, so that pebble is being assisted by a witch. It does not change anything, I'll hunt her down and I'll teach her no one makes a mockery of an Alpha. I'm not just any Alpha, I'm the next in line to the throne and she will pay dearly.

"Alpha". Stella says bringing me out of my reverie.

"We've searched everywhere, there are no cubs here, she will be back, it seems she values her pets, she will come back for them"

"That's good, everyone go, to the car, let's head to the pack house, so you can all get treated, Damian, we need to talk but after your treatment"

Before we leave the pebble's house, I move a huge shelf and some tables to the entrance of her house to replace the broken door, then we exit through the back door. I don't know why I did it, I just felt like it . How odd
