Adyson’s Pov
I feel the sting of his hand connecting with my face. I don’t have chance to react though as he is knocked away from me by Echo. He snarls in warning but doesn’t take it any further. However, he is soon knocked away as Hades takes his place. There is no hesitation as Hades sinks his teeth into Alpha Gabriel’s shoulder. I see Nadine wince, he is still her mate and she cares.
I manage to lure Hades to me and he shifts back into Joey. He fusses over my cheek, I know it’s already healed but he doesn’t let it go. Luckily Jax distracts him when he comes over to ask if I’m okay.
We finally get to sit and enjoy our meal. The entire time Joey is grinning at me. His smile is infectious and he is so sweet I can’t help but grin back. I feel like an i***t just sitting here smiling at
