“I have text Amber and she is on her way over with face masks,” I tell Lila as I sit on the bed. We decided to have a girly day before the ball tonight. It would be good for Lila and Amber to get to know each other a little bit more.
“So how are things with Joey?” Lila asks as she sits next to me.
A genuine smile crosses my face. “I really like him,” I tell her. “He is so sweet.”
“And…” she draws out.
“And… really hot.” I laugh and she laughs too.
“You love him,” she states as a fact.
I sigh and look down at my hands. “I think so.”
She watches me for a minute. “The feelings for Jax will fade you know,” she says softly. “Just give it time.”
