I stand over in the corner and a passing omega hands me a drink of champagne. I swallow the glass whole. I continue to stare at Adyson as she laughs freely and is swept up in Joey’s arms.
Someone clears their throat next to me and I turn to see Adyson’s father.
“Sir,” I greet politely but turn back to watching Adyson.
