I stared at the vial. Its liquid contents glowed purple. Such a small amount to rid me of such an incredible darkness.
Llona had given it to me. The only cure, and she had chosen to give it to me over Christian.
When she’d entered the conference room, I’d been so shocked to see her that I hadn’t known what to say. But looking back, I should’ve blurted an apology for leaving her in Irondale. I shouldn’t have done it, but I was just so upset that she had left me so soon after both of us nearly losing our lives, that I just snapped.
She couldn’t let go of the cure even for a day. Her obsession for the cure had grown too much. Or, deep down, I believed it was her obsession for curing Christian that had truly bothered me.
I was a damned fool.
