After she left, Sunny looked at his hand. His entire palm was pierced with glass shards, and it was drenched in blood.
“I know this pain is the price I paid just to touch you…” he whispered, his voice heavy with emotion. But despite the unbearable pain, he clenched his fist, endured it, and walked after the girl.
A few moments later, a car stopped in front of a massive building. The building was so tall it looked as if it could touch the clouds.
As soon as the car halted, a guard quickly rushed forward and opened the door. A black heel stepped out first, and immediately the guard lowered his head respectfully. Lined up in attention, they stood frozen as the girl with green eyes stepped out. She glanced at the building in front of her, the words “KS Industry” etched in bold at the top. A proud, arrogant smile spread across her face.
She looked around once, slipped on her goggles, and walked straight inside. Sunny, bleeding hand and all, hurriedly followed her.
So let’s meet her—she is none other than Kaya Singhania, the owner of KS Industry. Her name suits her perfectly. Just like her name suggests, she changes the very kaya (essence) of anyone’s life who dares to step into it. People say she is a psycho—so much so that her second name itself is “Psycho.” Yet, despite her ruthless nature, she is the youngest and number one businesswoman in the industry. There isn’t a single person who doesn’t know her name.
Apart from her empire, Kaya is breathtakingly beautiful, as if she descended straight from heaven. Her striking green eyes can wound anyone at a single glance. She stands at 5’8”, with fair glowing skin, silky shoulder-length hair, and those eyes that could trap any man into instant surrender. But strangely, no one has ever seen her real, genuine smile.
As Kaya entered the building, the moment her heels clicked against the floor, the entire office fell into a graveyard silence.
Her sharp eyes scanned the surroundings. Then they landed on a girl. The girl’s eyes were small, and seeing Kaya walking toward her made beads of sweat roll down her forehead.
“Give me your phone.” Kaya’s voice was cold and devoid of emotion.
“What happened, Kaya—” Sunny rushed in, but she turned and glared at him. Correcting himself instantly, Sunny said, “Sorry, Boss… What happened?”
Everyone around was frozen stiff, no one daring to lift their heads or even glance at what was happening.
“I said… GIVE ME YOUR PHONE!” Kaya repeated, this time through gritted teeth.
The girl trembled violently, her hands shaking.
“Here… take it, but—” she barely managed to speak before—
SLAP!
A thunderous slap landed across her face. Tears welled up in her eyes instantly.
“FIRE,” Kaya ordered coldly and turned, walking toward her private lift.
“Sunny sir, please! I didn’t do anything!” the girl sobbed, begging.
“You should’ve thought about that before spending hours talking to your boyfriend. Now, you’re free. Go home and talk to him as much as you want,” Sunny replied sharply before trailing behind Kaya.
Crying, the girl left the office.
On the very top floor stood Kaya’s cabin. From there, even a human on the ground looked like an ant. Kaya walked into her cabin, headed straight to the washroom, and came out after a while, cleaning her hands as if nothing had happened. She sat on her luxurious chair.
Moments later, the door knocked.
“Come in,” Kaya said, resting her elbow on the chair’s arm.
It was Sunny. He entered and asked, “Can you tell me what exactly happened at the party last night?”
At his words, Kaya leaned back, lost in thought, replaying the events of the night before.
It was the grand anniversary party of Mr. Saxena’s 25th wedding. As Kaya entered, the entire hall froze, all eyes magnetically drawn to her. She was wearing a sleek, black, sleeveless gown with a long slit running up the side, revealing her flawless fair legs. Her lips were painted a bold crimson red. Her beauty dazzled the hall, but everyone was too aware of her reputation to even dare blink at her.
Without glancing at anyone, Kaya strode directly to Mr. Saxena.
“Congratulations, Mr. Saxena,” she said. Sunny, standing right behind her, immediately extended the bouquet toward him.
The party was in full swing. Sunny remained at her side the entire time. Many businessmen attempted to start conversations with her about deals, while others were secretly burning with jealousy—partly over her beauty, partly over her success.
Suddenly, Sunny’s phone buzzed. He glanced at Kaya. She was continuously sipping drinks, but her face remained perfectly composed, showing not the slightest trace of intoxication.
“Kaya… Mr. Banna has arrived in India. He says no one came to pick him up… So should I— I mean, do you want me to…?” Sunny stammered.
“Go. I want to drink more,” Kaya said firmly, her attention fixed on her glass. Sunny left.
“Hey, beautiful… Mind if I join you?”
A boy, around her age, slid into the seat next to her with a charming grin.
Kaya was about to respond when suddenly the music roared to life, filling the hall with deafening beats…
