Once they consumed each other, a ravenous feeling unlike any other awakened from the depths of a grave slumber and ripped off the pages of their fate. Once they were sealed to be ill lovers, to be ill fated, to destory each other but with very second they were within, they defied that fate and wrote their own. The pages of the mighty guide of life however, were never meant to be rewritten. ●|●|●|● ●|●|●●●● "Oh my goddess, Venia, are you alright?" Princess Bess quickly rushed to Venia's side, embracing her warmly before her curious eyes examined her face warily. "Look how pallid you are, so that means the rumors are true?" "How can that be?! It can't be!" Vye exclaimed heatedly, immediately rising to her feet in fierce objection. There was no way the loose lips of maids carried word of truth. There was no way that beastly barbarian was here. "It's not supposed to be this way, please,,tell me it's not true, he can't be here for you." Vye had her faith entirely depleted when Venia's face deflated and she feel to her knees in defeat. Streaks of tears began painting her smooth, flawless face and she kept her sobs as light as possible so as not to alert the creature behind these walls that there was something amiss. Surely her cries of aching woe would alarm him and lead to him charging in here and causing an unnecessary ruskcus. It was already bad enough that she had to bid farwell to the only beings who cared for her, she did not need them being exposed to the beastly nature of these ill- fated creatures. "I don't know what to say, I'm sorry," Venia spoke in a small, soft voice, unable to hide her shame. She had done absolutely nothing to fight her fate, she had failed her sisters, "I was with Slyra, I was not expecting him at all…. I was so foolish, I should have been more careful… I- I should have at least ran…" she mumbled the last part in her cheeks and wrung her slender fingers. "Is he here? Is that abominable creature here?" Iyene joined her on the floor and snuggled up to her in an attempt to comfort her even though she could imagine that princess Venia was beyond consolation. Venia shook her head, sniffling lightly as more tears streamed down her face. God she had always hated goodbyes! Why oh why was this happening to her? "No, he sent his men. I am glad, I don't know what I'd do if I saw him." The last encounter she had with the beast king should have been exactly that; the last. He had already taken so much from her in those few minutes in his presence she could not imagine what a full day with him would do to her. She had a lot of emotions regarding her new master and none of them were good. If he were at least her last resort, her saviour who'll finally grant her the freedom she's been desiring then she would have at least been a little glad to pack up and leave but as the higher beings hated her; they gave her away to the very beast that was worse than the bastard king, king Ian. She was going from one prison into another. From a bed of nails to a bath of glass shards. Venia cried her heart out as quitely as she could while her sisters huddled up, hugged her and cried along with her. "I am so sorry, Venia, this is all my fault." Princess Bess whimpered, wiping at her nose with the sleeve of her gown. "I should have just listened to you and not nagged you to go to father's throne room that day, none of this would be happening if you had stayed in your room. I don't know what I'm going to do." Venia's heart at the princess' pain, it was deeply heart sundering to see someone as pure hearted as princess Bess weeping so hard and being so unforgiving to themselves. Venia could right away tell that the guilt that consumed the princess was not going to be easy to abolish, she was going to keep blaming herself for a long time. "How can you blame yourself, princess Bess," Venia wiped away her tears with strict intention, gazing into her eyes affectionately, "none of this is your fault, please don't blame yourself, please don't cry. You would have never known that this was going to happen and I'll forever be grateful that you are always standing up for me." Her words were unmistakably sincere yet the princess still could not be at ease and she wasn't the only one. "It should've been me!" Princess Vye cried out, tugging furiously at the tool of her gown. "It should be me facing that odious creature, oh why is this happening to you, Venia? Why? You have already lost so much! This is so unfair." Again, Venia felt that heart rendering pain that was too deep to ignore. She wished to wrap things up sooner so Haryx doesn't come rudely snatch her and leave the princesses in more pain but how could she laave them in such a state? "I am the one who is sorry. I'm glad it is me…I wouldn't be myself… I would have never known peace knowing that you are in that monster's custody, I would live my entire life never being able to experience happinesd if either of you were to leave me like that, under those circumstances." Venia wiped away what she hoped was the last of her tears and wrapped her arms around as many of the princesses as she could cover. "I am sorry that I have to put you through this…I promise that I will do my best to surive, to live until I can see you again. I will write to you often and I know that one day we'll meet again under happy circumstances. I will fight, that wish is what will keep me going." Princess Iyene's fingers intertwined with hers and she raised her head from Venia's chest and lookèd up at her with serious intention. "I promise that I'll save you from that beast. I will work hard to charm the kings at the ball and I'll marry a powerful king who'll be powerful enough to stand up to that monster, I will use his power to free you and punish him for all he's done to you." "Me too. I'll travel as far as the skies and marry a god." Princess Bess declared sternly. "I will do everything necessary to save you, Venia. I know that king Arsix thinks he can step all over us because the Illox disappeared and left with most of our magic. I just know that he took it, if we can find it, he'll be no match against the Mother of Magic, the most powerful witch to ever exist will crush him like he's a little bug." "You're right, Bess! You're a genius!" Princess Vye perked up. "Let us find the Illox and regain our powers and we'll never find ourselves in this situation ever again-" A steady knock came from the door and even without words being spoken, Venia knew that meant it was time up. "Let me look for my watch. I'll try to visit you, please take care of yourselves, I must go." Saying goodbye was a thousand times harder than she ever imagined it will be, but having to haul her small belongings and turn her back on the princesses was like taking the first dive into the fiery pits of hell.
