Chapter 4

Seraphine got home and started thinking of ways to make Desmond and Evelyn get on offspring as soon as possible and at the same time pretend to love Desmond so no one will suspect her not even Velkan because his senses are very sharp and he's quick to suspect someone “All I just need is to up my game, what will I do to bring them closer” she thought to herself, she was deep in thought for about 30 mins and then she got an idea and went to bed with a smile on her face.

The next morning, Evelyn and Emily went to the library like they planned and they asked the librarian for monsters section so they won't figure out anything “Um….can you pls point towards where we can get books on monsters”Emily said “Yh, we want to use it for a research” Evelyn added like they've planned what they wanted to say earlier “it's on the last row there's a whole section of it” the librarian replied, both Emily and Evelyn thanked the librarian at the same time, they both came prepared with their books and pens to write down somethings but as they flipped the pages it's either it was torn or wasn't complete “what's this, we are just not heading anywhere” Evelyn said as she was frustrated “wait there's one over here, seems like it's untouched” Emily told her as she pointed and stood up to get it and blew air on it because it was looking all dusty like it just sat there and no one touched it “Woah…..Evie come take a look yourself” said called Evelyn as she flipped through the pages but some parts were torn though still some vital informations were there “But there's nothing relating to if they're still in existence” Evelyn said as she went back to sit “But there's an address written here” Emily replied with a smile and went to sit and wrote down the address, “at least we got something” Evelyn replied “I shouldn't have doubted Desmond, there's nothing related to Werewolves eyes twitch our teacher was just making our class fun that why he said so, anyways we'll go to visit the address tomorrow, I'm tired with all these flipping, sitting and standing” Evelyn said as she went to ahead to arrange the books “Lazy girl won't you give a helping hand” She added, Emily just being lazy like always stood up as Evelyn kept insisting “I'm up” she said as she walks towards Evelyn, when they finished they got ready to go home. On getting home they sighted Desmond from afar “Is that not Desmond” Emily taps Evelyn as she gave her a sign, “how sure are you he's the one” Evelyn said but as they walked closer their suspicions were correct.

“Oh hi, what're you doing here?” Evelyn asked and Emily waved and went to open the door, “Can we talk?” Desmond asked “Sure let's go inside”she replied but Emily gave her an Eerie look “Let's just talk here, I guess it's better” so they both entered his car and they discussed about what had happened the day before “I guess we're cool now right?” Desmond asked and gave Evelyn a hug as she alighted, his phone rang again, “sorry I have to pick this it's my brother, he's meant to meet me here” Evelyn nodded in agreement.

“I'm here” Velkan said as he shows up behind his car, “You hiked, why?” Desmond asked but Velkan ignored the question, “won't you introduce me?” Velkan asked as he teased his brother, “I was about doing that anyways Evelyn meet my younger brother, Velkan meet Evelyn the woman of my dreams” Desmond snapped, they shook hands and the three of them talked and laughed together “what about your friend won't she come outside?” Desmond asked Evelyn “she's tired I'm 100% sure that she's fast asleep, just let her be maybe next time” Evelyn replied and they kept laughing and talking for another 10mins then Velkan phone rang and he went to pick his call and he left then Evelyn asked Desmond a question “What about your parents?” He sighed before giving her a reply “Well, they travelled today but I've not heard from them since, I guess they've been busy”, Velkan came back to them with a worried look “Our parents plane crashed and they are both dead” He sulked “But how is that even possible, we have to leave now” He added, “Um……Babe, I'll talk to you later, goodnight” Evelyn looking all surprised and shocked “How is it that when I asked after his parents this news came in, maybe it's a coincidence, but both parents gone, I feel so sad for him unlike me I don't even know who my parents are” she said as a tear dropped down her eyes and she walked inside, she freshen up and saw Emily still on her phone “You've not slept, that's so unusual of you though” Evelyn taps her shoulder “I was waiting for you, what were you guys talking about, I prepared something for you it's on the table, you can microwave it if you want but I guess it should still be warm, anyways goodnight and also don't forget to lock the doors and off the lights” she said as Evelyn went to eat when she finished she was about going to bed then remembered she had to lock the door and off the lights which she had to stand up again “This is why I hate sleeping before Emily” she said as she forced herself to stand up then went back to her bed to call Desmond but all efforts proved abortive and she slept off leaving her phone on.
