New father

"Your father will be happy to see you awake" father? i wondered, he smiles at me then turned to talk to the other one in the room "nurse prep her and let her father into the room" he says then turns around and leaves the room. So i have gathered that am in hospital but how did the "great" Alex Jackson find me? maybe he cared after all. A man comes in just after the nurse helped me drink water and told me she'e getting me food. I don't know him but his smile is genuine. "you scared me there baby girl" baby girl? who is this man and why is he talking to me? He must have seen the confusion in my face and he came closer and sat on the chair next to my bed. "my name is Richard, Richard Green and am the one who found you." he said and i looked at him, he must have confused me with someone else. " Found me?" i repeated his words more like a question, he couldn't have found me if my father is here. " yes, i found you unconscious on the side on the road this morning on my way to work and i brought you here." then he really must have found me. " Thank you, where is my father?" they said he was here so this man must know who he is and called him. " Am sorry dear, i said i was your father for them to let me stay here with you. I couldn't leave until i knew you were okay and that someone was coming for you." wow! i guess my father isn't here then"Well no one is coming for me but thank you for staying with me." the man looked a bit surprised by what i said. " Tell me who you dear am sure i can find your family," i might as well tell him, what do i have to lose? "my name is Portia Jackson daughter of the famous business man Alex Jackson..." i told him everything there is to know about me, i mean my grandmother did say he was going to take care of me so he might as well know what his dealing with." Am sorry you had to go through that, i cant offer you what your father can but i am willing to take you in and get you back to school if you are willing" is he kidding! i would take anything right now, i have no one and nowhere to go. His offer is much better than the streets! " i would like that but i don't have anything on me, not my school uniform nothing." i really cant go to school without a uniform, they will send me back without even hearing me out." if i count correctly you are supposed to me writing your final exams since its November and if i recall correctly kids from your school wear casual during this time right?' i smiled, my lucky is not that bad after all. " Right! i forgot about that" i said a little excited that i will get to go to school, hours ago i didn't even think i would get a chance to further my studies. but.." my school is back in Pietermaritzburg though?" I said worried that i got excited a little to soon. " It's okay dear, you are have been through a lot these past couple of hours somethings are abound to slip your mind. About your school though i can get you a school transport for kids who study that side to take you until you finish with your exams and when you get your school report you will get a transfer letter as well then i can enroll you to one of the schools on this side but it wont be a private school since i cant afford one" that was a relief, am happy and i don't care which school i go to as long as i get to go to school. "  am fine with that as long as i get to go to school. When can i leave this place?"  i asked i don't want to be here any longer. i feel fine." Am glad to hear that, let's hear what the doctor has to say about discharging you okay?" i nodded smiling at him. " i must warn you though i don't have much so don't get your hopes up" i looked at him, he doesn't know how grateful i am. "i really don't care as long as i get to have a home" he smiled.

Tina

I took one final look at myself in the mirror and i look fine! if Mr Bolsick doesn't notice me toady he never will. I take my bag and head out. " Wow! look at you, you look fineee girl!" Sammy says as soon as she sees me." Thanks Sammy" i said ironing my dress with my hands." where are you headed?" she asks " to my girls at the school" Sammy eyes me suspiciously." the girls or Mr Bolsick?" she questions. " both" i say " you are obsessed with that guy" that's not true though or maybe just a little. " No! am not i just like him" okay that came out a little more defensive than i intended." His married Tina with 4 kids" i roll my eyes at her. " i know that and i know he cheats on his wife, so if he can do it with other women why cant i have a piece of him" i know his married and i know he cheats on his wife, i have done my research it's not like am walking in this blindly. " Okay, do you madam i just hope you wont get hurt" i roll my eyes at her again "I think am old enough to know what am doing Sammy" she's annoying right now, who doesn't get hurt in relationships? " Okay" he lifted her hands in surrender, i left her there got to my car and drove to the school. I saw Mr Bolsick at some women'e drive last year and i saw how passionate he was about that. He brought a group of girls from his school and we got talking and i found out that those are the girls in his accounting class but because of the high teenage pregnancy rate in schools he often took the girls to those kinds of events. I was taken by him and i wanted to know more so i did some digging of my own i found out that he was married with 4 kids. I also found out about his mistresses, past and current one. Well i befriended his mistress a good girl but i wasn't looking for a friend i just needed information on her lover and the kind person he was outside school. I got the information and i ditched her. I came to the school a few weeks later and had a meeting with the principal/headmaster about sponsoring girls coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them with school uniforms, tutors, educational camps and groceries for their homes each month. The principal was more than eager to give me a list of girls but told me he will start by giving me 20 girls to sponsor and i will be working closely with Mr Bolsick. Exactly what i was looking for, also said if the program goes well we can add more girls and he will have more than enough evidence to present to the department of education to be able to get funding to sponsor more students. I didn't care about that though i had gotten what i wanted and i kept my end of the deal and i get to come to the school whenever i want to "check on my girls" if you know what i mean. Since then Bolsick and i have gotten close, we do lunch dates when i come to the school but he hasn't said anything yet about us dating and all that but i know it's just a matter of time. I get to the school and park my car next to his and he comes out just as am locking the car. " Beautiful as usual Tina" i couldn't help but blush " Thank you, how are you today? " i asked still blushing. " am well Ms Tina and i can see you are too" he gives me one of his charming smiles and i cant help but return it. " how are my girls?"  his smile grew wide. " those girls are going to take the school places, the competition is real and none of them gets less than 90% or 80% of their modules. The other teachers and the principal of course are very pleased with their performance." I smiled widely " how are they doing in Math and Physics? i know you used to complain about them not doing well in that." he smiles proudly " they have improved a lot! you wont believe the lowest got 75% on the mock test that i gave them"  well despite everything i am glad that the girls are doing well and that the tutors i got are helping. At least they will get a bright future."That's good news! am really proud of them" he gets closer and rub my arm and i get goosebumps immediately. " and am proud of you for what you are doing for them Tina, not many successful people do what you do for those girls and i appreciate it, the girls appreciate it, the principal also appreciates and the parents as well. But i appreciate you, you are a blessing Tina never forget that." i was blushing and looking all shy. I don't know what this man is doing to me but i want more of it. " Thank you" i managed to say still blushing looking anywhere but him." now how about i take you out for lunch before seeing the girls because i know if you go there first i might not see you until you leave." who could say no to that? i came for him anyway." I would like that." i said "great! let's go then, we taking my car" i just nodded, he went around with me and opened the passenger door for me and i got in. He closed it and half jogged to his side, getting in and driving off with me smiling.
