Stephanie
There wasn’t much work getting done around the office after Stephanie’s delivery. Dave was busy pacing around the office discussing all the ways he would like to put whoever was behind it in jail. Angie was trying to pass off the hordes of calls coming in to some of the lower level attorneys upstairs.
“Maybe I should just go home. At least you all could get some work done instead of just sitting here feeling sorry for me.”
“Nonsense, you’re better off here with us. If you leave they’ll think they succeeded in scaring you. That’s what they want, to feel that power of controlling your emotions. Right now they have no way of knowing you’re not in here working away as if the package didn’t even phase you,” Dave said passionately.
“I guess so,” Stephanie said.
