Jake
He felt her fall asleep. Jake wanted to continue to hold her, but he knew he needed to leave. Aside from still needing to hash things out with Dru, he needed to find a way to make her safe while he was gone. He pulled his arm out from under her and crept out of the room. She rolled over, but never woke up.
Jake found Terrell in the kitchen rummaging when he came downstairs. Jake knew Terrell would end up pulled for the new case as well. Jake needed someone he could trust, but he knew the pack would all have to answer Dru’s alpha command.
“I’m going to head out and talk with Dru. Are you good to stay here for a while?”
“Dru wants me back at the main house, like yesterday,” Terrell said as he leaned against the counter, obviously in no hurry.
