Jake
Once Jake and Dru finally quit trying to kill each other, Jake’s bear realized his mate was gone. Jake shifted and slid a pair of his sweats on before he searched the compound. Panic surged until he thought to check his cell phone and saw a text from Terrell explaining he had taken Stephanie home.
Terrell had stayed with her, which both pissed Jake off and relieved him. He knew he had scared Stephanie earlier by fighting Dru. He never would have dreamed that he’d one day attack Dru, but as soon as Dru ordered him away from Stephanie, his bear had instantly gone into attack mode.
