Down back to earth kya! Been talking to you for the past 5 minutes and all I got was a long gone silent. Miguel hissed.

I'm super sorry Miguel, my mind is all over the place. I said lazily

Are you fine tho? You could take today off, I'd handle things over her. Miguel saod, pity showing in his eyes

Naa boo, I'm as strong as a horse. I said jokingly

If you say so my love, just don't zone out on me again. Miguel said, still looking worried.

I promise, I laughed.

The bell at the store front jingles indicating a customer entrance. Walking in is a lady about my age group if I'm not mistaken, fair skinned, eyes as glassy as the … her pencil straight skirt hugging perfectly to her hips with a flowery peplum top. With heels about 4 inches tall she stood out amongst every other person in the store. Calling her beautiful,pretty or sexy would be an understatement. But one thing tho is she looks super familiar but I'm sure as hell I haven't met or talk to her before.

Hello welcome to Brews and Bliss café, how may I be of help to you today? I said with a professional but soft smile.

Hi Kya, I'd like the Ginger tea and Cinnamon buns. She said flashing her pearl white teeth in a gentle smile.

Taken aback a bit, I asked, How'd you know my name? Cos I'm sure I do not have a name tag on.

Oh yeah, we met the day before yesterday. I was here with my brother Kevin. She replied with a soft delicate smile.

Oh Kevin, I recall. Let me go whip up your order quickly, it will take about 5 - 10 minutes max, I said with a smile as I turned and head towards the counter to give Valerie the order

Whooooo is that hottie?? Miguel asked with a smug smile.

You know for someone who says he's gay, you sure act straight alot. I said teasingly.

Kya Kya Kya, oh my star shine, over here we appreciate beauty, male or female. I do not discriminate beauty. Miguel said waving his hands dramatically

Okay miss Anna, Enjoy your lunch.i said as I attempt to retreat back to the counter.

Can I see you for a moment, she said stopping with a slight tug on my apron.

Oh sure, is everything okay? I asked concerned

Yes Kya, everything is fine. I was just wondering if I could ask you to be my friend and accompany me to an event happening this weekend? She said in a pleading tone.

Uhm… that's new, to the friendship yes because to be honest you've won my heart with your kindness but I'll still be testing the waters a bit. I said jokingly to lighten up the mood

Ah! You're one of the funny ones, I like. She said wiggling her perfectly carved brows. And for the event? She asked

I'm not so sure about that, cos you look wayyyy different than I am, like wayyy above my league and well it'll be hard to fit in an occasion you go to. I said half heartedly

Oh girl, trust me we're probably the same when it comes to that, forget the whole classy look my love. She said trying to convince me

Don't you have like other rich friends that can accompany you, I'm sure you have alot of them, I said waving my hands

Trust me there are friends,and there are just people you hangout with, and You? I want to be your friend and likewise me. She said in a convincing manner

Okay okay okay, so let's say I agree to accompany you, I do not have a dress that probably fit that standard. And getting a dress this late will be alotof hassle. I said trying to reason with her

That's no issues Kya,we're practically the same size. I own a clothing line, so getting you up in a pretty dress would not bat me an eye, she said with a smile.

Okay okay no issues then, I'm in, it wouldn't hurt to go outside my comfort zone a bit. I said with a laugh.

If that would be all, I'd have to get back to work, I'm already on the verge of getting fired. I joked

Waitt, I need your contact details. You know, so I can call you.she said stretching out her phone towards me.

Punching in my phone number on her phone, here you go. I said with a smile.

Thanks Kya, this means a lot. She said happily.

As I got back to the counter, I got bombarded with questions from Miguel and Valerie.

So what were you guys talking about. Miguel asked

You guys were talking for a long number of minutes. Valerie chipped in.

Do you know her from somewhere? Miguel asked.

Girl spill the tea. Valerie said.

Okay okay okay. Slow down guys I literally don't know what to answer first. I said waving my hands.

And to answer your question Miguel, NO I do not know her outside Brews and Bliss, her brother is a regular here.

Oh who might that be? Miguel questioned

The Grumpy guy. I said

Oh the Fine grumpy guy. Niceeeeee. Miguel said excited

What are you all excited about Miguel. It looks suspicious and funny. I said with a suspicious look.

Well she might be trying to set you up with her brother. He said wiggling his brows

Naa boo, you got it all wrong. I said. She just asked me to be her friend and to accompany her to an event she has this weekend.

Oh,and what did you say? Miguel asked

Uhh I said Yes. I replied checking for my phone

Yay. Valerie and Miguel said clapsing their hands together

That should be fun, Valerie added, it nice to go out of your comfort zone.

Yeah I guess. I said trying to wave off the conversation.

As weird as this whole encounter may seem, I'm looking forward to the event, and also the outfit tryout with Anna.
