A bleary-eyed Claire was disappointed when she didn"t find Peter Wells poised to accost her outside the newspaper office. She was so upset and angry after reading Anthony"s marriage announcement that she would have welcomed a battle with the pushy copper.
The first thing she did was pound down the stairs to the newspaper morgue. The clerk must have neglected to include a notice of Anthony"s divorce, or Rosa"s obituary, or an article about a runaway wife.
