Dahyun woke up with sleepy eyes. She notices the time and whispered—“I’m already late.” She rushed out of bed, skipped breakfast and get ready in hurry. Grabbing her bag and the huge file, she ran out of the apartment and get into a taxi. As the taxi moved, she taking out her phone and typed a message to Su-min.
Dahyun
I’m already late. So, I couldn’t make
breakfast. Please eat something from outside.
She locked her phone and kept it in her
bag. After reaching the office, Dahyun entered her department and placed her bag on her desk. Before starting work, she checked her phone.
There were message dropped by Su-min.
Su-min
I just woke up and saw your message.
You don’t need to be worried about me.
Su-min
Otherwise, did you eat anything?
Dahyun smiled and replied
No! Yet!
Message came immediately
Su-min
Okay! But don’t forget to eat just because of work.
Dahyun
I will not. And you stop using phone and
go get ready for work.
Su-min
You caught me! bestie. I am just going. Bye!
Dahyun
Bye!
Soon she put the phone on her desk.
Department head approached to her and asked—“Miss Kim, did you complete the files I gave you previous day.”
Dahyun replied—“Yes! I already did.”
Department head calmly praises—“Good work, here are little more files. You can
finish it in some hours. So, after
completing it come to my office
and I will give you more after this
little work. As you are just an new intern — So, we can’t overload you with huge
work.
Dahyun thought—“Huge work? Doesn’t he
know what happened to me previous
day. That huge file and the CEO’s order to
complete it in one night.”
Department head said — “Miss Kim, are you okay?”
Dahyun smiled and replied — “Yes, sir. I’m totally fine. Just lost in thoughts.”
Department head calmly — “Don’t lost in yourthoughts Miss Kim. You also have to do the work if you want to stay here.”
Dahyun nodded and took the file from his hand. As soon as department head go from her desk, that two women who were trash-talking about her came and start mocking her again.
Women 1—“Did you learn how to respect your seniors, Miss new intern?”
Women 2—“Did you remember how she got
scolded by the CEO yesterday?”
They laughed.
Dahyun stood calmly, bows politely—“Good
Morning seniors. Myself Kim Dahyun. Can I know your name?”
Women 1—“Oh! Miss Kim. Although myself
Miss Han Seojin.”
Women 2—“Myself Miss Shin Yuna.”
Dahyun smiled—“I also want to ask you that
can mocking people in public is a way of respect you show? Don’t you in your eyes? Or maybe you don’t have eyes just balls for decoration. However, it’s not doing it’s work just like you.”
Miss Han angrily—“Mind your tone Miss Kim.”
Dahyun smiled—“Then why not you both mind your work, seniors?”
Suddenly, CEO’s assistant came up and said
“Miss Kim, CEO is calling you.”
Dahyun replied—“Okay, I am coming.”

Dahyun smiled to seniors—“It’s a nice talk
with both of you Miss Han and Miss Shin.
I hope you understand.”
(She took that huge file and went to
the CEO’s office floor.)
Dahyun knocked the door.
A familiar and deep voice—“Come in.”
Dahyun entered and walk towards him. While he is working on sitting on desk, not even looking at her.
Dahyun proudly said—“I completed the file,
you gave me the previous night day.”
CEO said without looking at her — “Just keep it on the table nearby the sofa. I will check it later.” She put the file on the table and asked — “May I leave now?”
CEO said — “Wait here for a while.”
Dahyun in her inner thoughts — “Not even praising me”
“I did the work of huge file just in one night”
“How can someone be this much rude?”
“And why he always wears that black mask even in office?”
Suddenly, someone knocked the door,
CEO ordered to come in“A girl, looking elegant and beautiful.Her smile is perfect for admire.A pretty girl for whom so many boys can fall”—Dahyun thoughts.
Unknown Girl—“Good Morning, sir” ”
CEO stood up from his seat, said—“Good Morning Miss Lee. There is your file on the table”
Miss lee took the file from the table,
smiled—“Oh! Thank you sir”
CEO said expression-less—“You should leave now”
Dahyun’s thoughts—
“What the hell is this. That is my work
My project. My hardwork. Then why does
the credit seems to go to her?”
“This rude man gave me someone else
work to do just to break me”
“This challenge is not made by company,
just for me by him?”
(Miss Lee leaves the office.)
Dahyun raises her voice—“Why did you give me someone else work?” “Are you which kind of CEO are you? Who did
this things to an new intern? Are you mad, Mr. CEO??”
CEO replied coldly—“Did you forgot what
I have said?”
Flashback—
CEO said—“Welcome to CrimsonCore Technology. But don’t think its going to be easy. I will make sure your journey here will
full of challenges. If you ever feel like
giving up, you can leave anytime.”
Dahyun replied meeting his eyes fearlessly
—“I am not afraid of you, Mr. CEO”
Dahyun replied — “I remembered that day
perfectly. How can I forget that? But
that doesn’t mean I work on someone
else’s file.”
CEO coldly — “You have to otherwise leave the job”
Dahyun frustrated — “Why are you doing this?”
CEO melting her eyes — “The coat?”
Dahyun replied — “But that was a mistake.
I also said that I will pay for it slowly.”
CEO angrily — “Leave, Miss Kim.”
Dahyun replied — “You know what, you are a
devil in a suit. It is just a coat. If it is so expensive, why the hell you wore it?”
CEO calmly — “Leave now.”
