We all sat around the table in silence. I had moved my plate to the side my father did the same. Maggie had finished first and started to remove plates and clean the table as my father seemed distracted. Maggie had started another pot of coffee and was getting our cups ready. I sat across the table, feeling uneasy as my father began to speak. "I loved your mother so much she was my world. She was my everything. I wish you could have gotten to know her. I was 22 when I met your mother. It was at the pack party I had just become the alpha of the silerlake moon pack. You would have grown up in the packhouse. But things changed really fast when they found out. " he looked down at his hands as a second tear fell on the table. "You see, your mother's lineage had a special power, power of the elements. Every hundred to a thousand years, a special werewolf is born with the power to control all the elements. The elementals became history, as evil people used their powers for control. It is said that an elemental can control all four elements. But no one really knows for sure. That's what is believed you are, Lily." My heart was pounding in my ears. I had always known that I was different from most people. But I would have never thought this would be the reason. You hear people talk about it, but it all seemed like a fairy tail. My life seemed to make sense now. "I should have told you sooner or at least explained as you grew up. 'He paused to take a deep breath as Maggie handed him a cup of coffee and handed me mine. Putting a hand on my shoulder and gently squeezing, she sat down beside me at the table. I felt hot, I felt angry, especially shocked, but I stayed silent as he continued. " The nightmares you've been having lately are memories coming back you've forgotten. It's all signs that your wolf is about to reveal itself to you. Most wolfs wait till you turn 18. My wolf Blaze came to me when I was 15, being the son of an alpha. when my eyes turn completely blue and you see the blue light that is Blaze coming through when he gets pissed off or upset. I can also talk to him like I am you, but in my head. " I scoffed out loud at that one and must have rolled my eyes. Did my dad really expect me to believe all this. He raised his hands in surrender with a pleading look. " I know, I know it sounds crazy but I swear it. I have been so careful not to expose you to this world." My anger boiled over. I slammed my hands down on the table hard. my cup jumped from the impact as i pushed the chair back, standing up, I couldn't help but yell. "DO YOU REALLY EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THIS DAD? I quickly lowered voice as more force came out than even I expected. "I am a werewolf and can control the elements, Hugh!" I ponted at him as I spoke next. "You have a wolf in your head named Blaze, and you have secret conversations with him." At that, I began to laugh really hard, a deep belly laugh that made your sides hurt the longer it lasted. The laughter didn't last long as the anger came out in sobs at the same time, which slowly turned to screams. My head felt like it was going to explode, I was scared. It felt like fire building in my chest. I grabbed at my chest, and my breath caught in my throat. I couldn't breath, the panic was setting in as the white light from my dream was envelopeing me. All of a sudden, Maggie's strong hands were on my shoulders, her face coming into focus, her eyes yellow and glowing. "LILLY! Focus on me. CONCENTRATE! Focus on me. I am here with there is nothing to be scared of, calm down my flower." Our eyes locked a warm yellow light, surrounded me, I felt warm and safe. Maggie had a special ability to calm me down in any situation. "What your father is telling you is true. Lilly, look at my eyes," Her once brown eyes glowed a yellow almost gold color. I gasped. Why had I never noticed before this moment. Was all my father said true, could I, could we all be werewolfs. I felt dazed as Maggie spoke next. "Everything your feeling is normal. You would know this if your father had told you sooner. " she broke eye contact with me to glance at him. His eyes had turned dark blue glazed over, and his shoulders slumped. "Your wolf is about to emerge, Lilly. Your powers are coming forward as your wolf does." Maggie spoke to me, but it wasn't her speaking. "My name is Ember. I am Maggie's wolf. I live within her just as your father's wolf Blaze lives in him."
