DAMIEN “She’s what?” I asked the old man for clarification, refusing to believe the words that had just spilled so casually from his scarred lips. I stood in the center of his office, glaring at the greying man sitting calmly behind the massive mahogany desk. Dr. Miyuki, whose presence was wholly unnecessary for a security briefing, stood at his flank, shifting uncomfortably as her eyes darted between me and the Leader.
