SUZIE’S POV
I gazed at Elliot, my mind and body in a total state of shock. Everything he had narrated for me seemed hard to believe. The things he said about my mother put me in a state of disbelief.
“I can’t believe this, I can’t believe any of this. So you’re trying to tell me, that my own mother, abandoned me, and left me with that man?”
“Suzie, look,” Elliot sighed. “I know it looks like mother abandoned you, but it was because she didn’t have a choice, she couldn’t take you with her. If she did, she probably wouldn’t have been able to escape alpha Stanley.”
