SUZIE’S POV My eyes cracked open as the sound of chirping birds roused me from my sleep. I blinked away the blurriness in my eyes, and kept my gaze fixed on the ceiling. My mind was still a bit hazy as I tried to fully get myself awake. My eyes trailed to the window, and I watched as sunlight filter into the room, through the silk curtains. Memories of yesterday began to cloud my mind and I grimaced instantly. Elliot’s words and everything he had told me rang in my head.
