Prologue
Dear Argus,
My grandpa once said that not all leaves are the same and that one man may not have the same purpose as the other. Although I wrote this letter as a sign to tell you that I have decided to venture back and see that piece—I dare not say that the geographer will remember me. Nevertheless, with all the purpose of putting a smile on his face again, I asked Dr. Barca to put the Timesphere deep within me and allow it to touch my ethereal with my physical.
Don’t cry for me, Argus. The world may never know my feats and our constant dare to reach the unknown, but it will remember that young boy who went with his grandfather to make the Sojourner’s Elixir. May this history put a light on my face and my grandfather.
All I ask is that you call Dido, and tell her that I’d love her for all my life. I may never see our young boy ever again, but once I get back I’d make him the happiest of all the boys in town—the son of the Sojourner, the one who will travel the greatest of beyond.
Your friend,
Eun Jin
P.S. I dare not believe that you will remember me, but I still trust that your heart will echo our friendship beyond the ages of history.
