The heart of of the beast

Anna was the only child of Dr Ian Richards and Dr Amber Stevens. she grow up alone and with mostly the house helps and nannies cause her parents where ever busy and away on projects to make and provide better health care services and harmless medications, in short they where never around much at home, she never spent more a day with her parents. when she was younger her parents would be around for an hour or more but as she grow up she saw less and less of them and if she got lucky she would at least see them once or twice in a week. They would come by some time only to have dinner with she and after either head back to work or retire to the room. Anna always thought they just came around to see if she was still there breathing and still alive. When she was 10 years old, her family would move from one town to other, due to parents work and research, they would go to a place which had the resources they needed for a particular projects they where working on, be it research on making medicines from rare plants and and testing them on animal first before administering the drug to patients who really needed, some survived and others it was too late .But there project this time , had moved them futher in the outskirts of a town they had been working from, it was more like a town that was in an isolated village, it had a few good and old buildings thats could tell a story of it own and symbols that represented the towns culture. The house they moved to was newly and neatly buildt with a modern look and a bit of traditional culture touch of the land they where in. They were no proper schools or hospital facilities, so here Anna had to be home schooled not like she had attended any proper classes since her parents took the mission to save the world, her childhood and chance for a normal life was reaped away from her. She had to take a couple of online classes so she could finish her grade school and go to college at least it was a chance to get away from her parents and live a normal life. This place needed alot of help even have some kind of developments in most area of the community. They town had no proper proper health and school facilities, and she thought maybe thats what her parents where here to do help the town develop. She knew her parents had a new research on preventing or reducing certain diseases like cancer, debates, HIV/Aids and other diseases that had been taking the lives of many people and deprived others from having a healthy medicine free life, they needed to be a area to do some research on finding right material to make good medicines and cures she thought, they had told her they were going to make the world a better and safer place. Anna was never bothered with her parents work, she was proud of them, there achievements and the commitment to the work they did and there goal to make the world a better place. She was alone most of the time or with her new house help Lilian a native woman for the local town who was more like her grandma, Liliana had been working for them for the past 4 years. Lillana had grown to love Anna like she loved her own and she would share stories about her home town, about the people who lived there and around the nearby villages. Anna had came to love the place through the stories Liliana told her. Anna had been bored of been on her own most of her life and even here far away from places she come to love, they were no books shops or libraries here and she had read all ones she had. While laying in bed doing nothing one day she decided, she was going to get up and go explore, she was going to go into town and look around the local areas and see how the town was, by herself and with her own eyes. All she wanted to do was walk around and about and find places she can come to and spend time at. After she moved around the first time, she thought that, stepping out of the house that day was the best choices she had ever made since getting here, cause the moment she saw how beautiful and simple the town was and how friendly and social the people where. She would sneak out every free chance she got, to go discover a new place and she had fallen in love with the culture and how the people cared about each other. The market area was big and with different vibrant colours everywhere it was beautiful and spoke its own story about how these people worked together and the unity they had. And from that day she decided to go around the town, every once in a while Anna would sneak out every day and go around to give a hand to people who needed help and she would be there to assist and help the elderly people at the home of the old age or she would read and play with the children at the orphanage in the area. She loved been there for others. She kept seen a boy doing the same and showing up were she would be, she never really bothered to actually know him or who he was but at some eventually they became friends and made plans to save the world. Everyone around the toen had started to get used to Anna and Carlos , been around to give them a hand when they had some free time, Anna was shy and vibrant , she had this thing about her that draw people to her. Even the adults at the shelters or childrens facilities would at times anxiously wait for her to come read her books and play with the children, they loved her and enjoyed hearing her read her books. She enjoyed been around the children and reading and playing games, and she loved been with Carlos and looked forward to the times she would spend around his family, they didnt have much and they where happy and were always there fore each like a normal family, she at times wished her parents did not have to work so much, had time for her and would be around more and really show interest in her and what she did. She looked around the neighbourhood as she grew up and everywhere they went she would be the odd child most of the time with only nannies around to watch over her , her parents would be gone for days or weeks. Carlos Carlos was lively and protective over his family, him been raised by a single mom and his younger sister who he loved so much and would do anything for. His father left them when they where young and he family had never seen or heard from him, no one knew where he went, if he was dead or alive. Carlos hated his father for abandoning his family, his mother was always hopeful that his father would one day return and take care of the family. Carlos refused to give his father that privilege to call himself his dad, he had lost that right when he left, he was 5 and his sister 2years old, his mom struggled and begged for food and clothing so her children and her could eat, the community was helpful as well, people would come in to bring food or what they could share with them. His mother and sister, those two were the most important people in his life and the reason he worked hard to provide for them. He would do work around the village just to get some food for his family and he would help out at the shelters , his favourite was the childrens shelter, the children were amazing they where so cute and adorable but had no parents to look after them or people to take them in, the children where children of families that passed away or went missing or work out of town. It was sad but he would be there to play with them and tell them stories of their people and culture, they loved it. As he kept doing this from time to time , he then saw a girl, she was not from there but she would come every day with different books and read for the children, the children loved her so much and he wanted to her know and be her friend. Every day she would be there and he would try to talk to her or assist her when doing some work. They began to get close and do work together and Carlos would take her to see sites and places she had never seen. Anna was an amazing person carlos thought he was intrigued by how kind and open hearted she was and how everyone in his village had came to except her. He would take her to his home where his mom and sisters, would talk to her and have meals with her, they took her in as family and she was so close to them that she would visit them every time she was in the area. He grew attached to her in the time they would spend together and they had become really close to friends. They spend almost all the time together and did alot of work at the shelters and at times they would be there till evening so Carlos always walked Anna home every time. As he walked her home that evening, they planned to meet after Carlos was done with his duties and Anna done with her morning classes. They laughed about how the kids would play and fight for Annas attention, the children at then orphanage loved Anna and they would really be quiet and attentive when she would them stories and teach them how to draw and write. Carlos admired Anna abilities and how she would shy away or blush when she caught him looking at her while she read. And even some of the adults had noticed that Carlos liked Anna and they would make a good couple some day. They wished them both well . Carlos at time's would think about what he wanted to say to her but would hold back, cause Anna was smart and brilliant and Carlos had nothing to offer or bring to the table, he choose to better himself , learn to read and work hard to have a future with Anna,that's if she would want to be with him as well.. He was determined to build a good relationship with her and just bee there for her, she was always along and never talked much about her family, but he knew Anna was a single child and her parents where ever busy with what they were doing, he had never met them and he had hoped some day he would cause there daughter Anna was exceptional and had a good heart. And he was happy he could be her friend and be there for her whenever he could . His family adored Anna and took her in like she was part of them, which he loved and appreciated. They finished the work at the children's orphanage, he waited as Anna packes her things and was ready to head home, they stopped at a nearby food stand and got some fries and corndogs to eat as they walked home. Making plans on how they will meet to tomorrow and what games they will pay with the children. They talked and talked until they found themselves at Anna's place, they said goodbye and Anna told him to get home safely and she will meet him at there orphanage the next. He watched her enter the house and he started to walk to his home.
