Prologue
Akasha
There was never a time were Akasha questioned anything her husband did. As she looked down at her daughter regret rippled through her stomach. How could she have allowed him to become so blinded by power? Akasha was able to stand proudly by his side as he raged war, and talked politics, but now he was risking their family's happiness. No matter how much she pleads to him, he refuses to give up. "It would be foolish of us to stop now," he would say. Akasha thought about when everything went from bad to worse. It was the day when the prophet came. Witches really knew how to throw people for a loop.
"I don't understand why you brought me here," Akasha said as they awaited the prophet's arrival.
"You're here because you are my queen and you're very good at sniffing out the truth," he said kissing her hand. "I would never put you or the children at risk," he said smiling in the warmest way. Then she thought of how doom and gloom he'd been for the past year. This was the first time she'd seen a convincing smile in months.
"Love, the prophet tells her truth like the fairies." She said concerned, but he just smiled.
"Hildegard is never wrong and that's a very good thing. The only problem she faces is what and when she sees. Unlike, the other fates she has no control over what God shows her," he said booming with confidence and sheer joy.
"What if someone sent her the vision to spare that family," she asked looking her love in his eyes and seeing the truth of his soul.
"No one can do that for she's in her 456 year. If some one's sending false visions she would know. You're safe just trust me." He said looking deep into her eyes.
"I know, I know."
Pasiphaë
Across the forest in a quiet town Pasiphaë had sat with Lilly Ann and listen to the prophet. She looked over at her son and wished it wasn't true. Anger and fear were making this a hard life to lead. War was destroying their home. Now the fight to save her son from living without want and distress was surely lost. No one could save him. No one but the girl, the girl trapped in the clutches of pure evilness. The girl that he would die for, that a lot of people were going to die for.
"Not just for her, but for him, for their love and the future of our world," Lilly Ann said placing a kind hand on her shoulder. "They'll do what's right and defeat Normid I'm sure."
"We can't let Normid get to Fahlynn," Pasiphaë said crying on Lilly Ann's shoulder. "You must protect him while I'm gone." She said searching Lilly-Ann's eyes. "We have to change this."
"Pasiphae no one has ever changed their fate once Hildegard has seen it."
"I know, but we will find away, "Pasiphaë said trying to figure out a way to spare her son.
Akasha
Back in the dense Forest Hildegard had just arrived. She certainly didn't look her 456 years. Even her peal silver hair did little to show her age. Her eyes screamed of youth. "The future will be changed." She said as her helper eased her into a chair.
"What of the heir to the realms? Do they survive?" Normid asked instantly intrigued by her blue frosty eyes. Like some of the other fates Hildegard was blind. Yet she seemed to be looking in to their eyes as she talked to them.
"There will still be an heir but you will not get the boy," she smiled. "He'll take her love from you."-
"Who's the girl?" Akasha asked.
"Your daughter," Hildegard replied looking over at the playpen that housed their beautiful little girl. "Never will there be a girl so determined to sacrifice and better the lives of the people she loves. You should take comfort in that."
"What will happen to her?" Normid asked. His concern slowly seeping through the excitement he once felt.
"She'll give her life to save her love."
Five years later
Akasha
"Normid we can't barging our children like their common house furniture," Akasha yelled as Normid hurry the children away.
"How dare you tell me what is going to happen in my house, you are to obey and nothing else," Normid ordered going off to his council room with his officers.
At that moment Akasha knew there was nothing else she could do. No one could save her and her children. Her one true love wanted nothing more than power. Power over her, power over their family, power over Hamlet, but most of all he wanted the power to rule the realms, not only Utopia but the mortal realm, after worlds, and dream realms too. For all she knew he might be like Lucifer and demand control of the Gods' realms too. She couldn't, wouldn't give her children to this insanity.
She quickly packed the children for a long stay at her mother's and sent a carrier owl demanding to meet with the Utopia realm council. No longer would she hope and pray. No longer would she believe his false promises of changing. She was finally going to do something right for her children she was going to die. She was ready to die.
Akasha rushed the children out of bed late that night. She had the cragged drawn out back filled with all the kids would need. She had her letters, and affairs' sorted all that was left was good-bye. Good-bye to her one and only love. Good-bye to her two wonderful children. And good-bye to the mother she disgraced. All she had left in this world were her children and she was going to make sure Normid's madness stopped with her. He'd never get his hands on them.
