Chapter 17: Caldwell is angry

At the seaside, the wind blew softly, echoing the sound of waves.
Everything was prepared and now it was the important moment of their engagement banquet. Around the music and a great clapping of hands from crowd, Caldwell and Aurora hand in hand, slowly stepped to the stage.
“Wow… Caldwell is so hot...”
“How gorgeous he is…”
“And so is his fiancée, they are made for each other, aren’t they?”
“But I still feel a little pity. I hope I am that woman that stands by him!”
“It seems that all women in Porland tonight will be sad…”
As they stood on the stage, the crowd, especially most of the girls began to get excited. The atmosphere here like a concert.
Aurora felt a bit speechless when she glanced at the excited crowd. They are so crazy!
However, when she turned her head to look at the man next to her, she found he was still keeping a cold face without any emotions. What a cool man he is!
The presenter that stood to the side also felt nervous as he saw Caldwell’s frigid face, then he forced a smile to say, “Welcome to the banquet tonight! I figure that all of you must already know, today is not only Miss Foster’s birthday, but also her engagement day with Mr. Elliott. On this delightful day, let’s give our best wishes to these lovers!”
After applauding, the crowd also stirred,, “Don’t you think the fiancée seems a little familiar? She seems like that ugly girl in our class.”
“Their surnames are the same too!”
“Familiar? Are you kidding me? How could that ugly girl compare to this elegant lady?”
“But their surnames are the same!”
“Do you know how many people called ‘Foster’ in Porland?”
“Let’s stop talking about that ugly girl. It is so terrible! She makes me feel disgusted.”
Lune took a sip of wine, while her malicious and envious eyes were fixed on the people on the stage. Heard what the gossiping girls just now, she could hardly control herself from standing up to tell them. The beauty on the stage was that ugly girl they were talking about!
However, she did nothing but drink her wine silently. She felt unpleasant though, but she was not foolish enough to let them know Aurora’s fiancé was Caldwell Elliott. Otherwise, who will get Aurora in trouble after that?
She wouldn’t allow Aurora occupying the position of Coldwell’s fiancée too longer. She loved him and he could only belong to her!
Tonight, Lune felt like losing her boyfriend and drank lots of wine…
Aurora on the stage was smiling. She could hear what they were arguing about, but their discussion only made her felt speechless. It sounded weird when they scoffed at her ugliness and admired her beauty at the same time.
Yet, Caldwell was very angry. His cold eyes glanced around the crowd and then looked at Dustin who stood not far away. Took the microphone from the presenter, he said toward Dustin, “Note down their information if they still go on gossiping!”
