Chapter 37 Getting up Or Enjoying His Treat

725 Words
Aurora Foster had just been woken up. She didn’t realize what happened at the moment. She was stunned. "Ah! Caldwell Elliott, what are you doing? Enough!” Aurora Foster bit his lips softly while roaring, then pushed him away awkwardly. "Can't you pull people out of their bed in a normal way?" For God’s sake, such an ardent kiss in the early morning, Aurora’s heart was too weak to take it! In fact, Caldwell Elliott did not intend to linger on her lips for a long time. He was just seized by a sudden impulse. The man smiled with satisfaction after confirming Aurora had been wide awake. "In the future, if you dare to let me spend half a day on waking you up, then, I’ll offer my special treat every day.” Was this a threat? Well, then he successfully scared her out! "All right. You win. I’ll get up. Are you satisfied?” Aurora Foster pouted, resigning herself to the devil’s torment, getting out of bed in the end. Caldwell Elliott woke her up in the early morning. So when they arrived at the school it was still early. Most of the students hadn’t arrived yet. Aurora usually ate her breakfast at school and today was not an exception. After having breakfast, it hit her that she should not waste the valuable time of morning, so she took out the poetry anthology and sat on a bench somewhere on campus, silently reciting the lines of poems. The monthly exam was approaching. Aurora Foster had to race against the deadline. Aurora Foster gradually fell into poem reciting and unconsciously took in a lot of lines by heart. Suddenly, a teenage boy stood in front of her, rudely threw away the poetry anthology in her hands. "Well, I hear that Aurora Foster is a straight F student. Why are you reciting poems here?" Wearing a white shirt and ripped jeans. Harlan Wallins looked handsome. His clean face tinged with sunshine. The teenage boy held the poetry anthology taken from Aurora sat directly on the other side of the chair. Stretching casually, he rested his arms on the back of the chair. Aurora Foster did not give too much of a reaction to Harlan Wallins but grabbed her poetry anthology back impolitely. "Straight F students and Straight A students are like parallel lines that never intersect. Stay away from me, in case the teachers and students start blaming me for lagging you back.” Aurora Foster dropped this line and resumed her poems reciting. She memorized the lines of poems one by one, then closed the book and read them in silence. She had memorized more than 20 lines at a time without any mistakes! Harlan Wallins, sitting by her, was alarmed by her remarkable memory. He almost dropped his jaw. "Aurora Foster! How can you do that? Just scanning this page and you can remember numerous lines! Not missing a single word!” As an outstanding student, he was the pride of the school, but at this moment, Harlan Wallins felt ashamed of himself. Such ability of memory, it was exaggerated! Moreover, if a person had this kind of memory, she would have achieved absolutely outstanding grade even if she just showed up in the classroom with her mind absent. Nevertheless, Aurora Foster got an F in every exam. Did she really hate studying? Did she just pretend to be a slower student and try to cover up her real ability? The more he thought about it, the more Harlan Wallins realized that Aurora was quite different from the others. He began to look at her with new eyes. "Would you mind telling me how to recite? Would you mind passing on your tips to me? Maybe we could study together in the future." He was always proud of himself, but now he asked Aurora for a helping hand. Aurora put down the poetry anthology and turned to look at Harlan Wallins. She smiled. "It's not impossible to pass on my tips, but you have to answer one of my questions." "Go ahead.” "Why did Harlyn make a bet with you? Why did he call upon you to come after me? Just trying to make fun of his own sister?"
