Caldwell opened the door and led Vana into the kitchen while Aurora poured them each a shot of whiskey. Vana greeted Aurora, and then she got a bowl of tangyuan from the fridge. Aurora had been hungry but, when she saw Vana, she lost her appetite.
Caldwell though, assumed that Aurora would still be hungry, so he offered to prepare something for her. Aurora shook her head and said, “Thank you, but I am no longer hungry.”
