After Aurora explained to Gracelyn how she’d tricked Lune, the three of them shared a good laugh. Even Caldwell was impressed with the cunning she’d shown by tricking Lune into choosing and purchasing stones that were destined to lose. Gracelyn said, “Aurora, I truly learned something from you today!”
Caldwell brought them to a classy restaurant and, while they ate, he embarrassed Gracelyn with his public displays of affection towards Aurora. By the time the bill came, Caldwell was more than ready to leave. As they put their jackets on, Aurora turned to Caldwell and said, “I will be going back to Portland City. While I am gone, please feel free to do whatever you see fit to get our store ready. If you need anything, give me a call or shoot me a text.”
