"It is a sin but not for you. You are of the monsters, the blood-sucking race now. Ezel, it's written in your destiny," professed a young-looking yet, aged lady.

Ezel Young was a simple girl with looks, but with no family or origin apart from her adoptive single mother. Life was a bed of roses till she turned 18 years old when she started seeing shadows and strange memories of things she had never seen.

However, what scared her in these memories was herself. Seeing herself drink blood from a fellow human didn't feel so good.

As if fate didn't get enough of playing with her, a handsome man suddenly approaches her claiming to be her past fiance but the only thing in the eyes of this strange fiance of hers is hate.

"I despise the love I had for you," he snarled.

Epilogue
"Ezel! I swear on the heavens, I'll hunt you down even in your next life. I promise I'll kill you when I get the chance. You'll regret not loving me," declared a man, his hands chained as though preparing to be crucified. He had his face covered in sweat and blood and his black hair stuck close to his forehead. A red liquid trickled down the side of his mouth and landed on his bare chest. The back and the front of his figure were both imprinted with whip marks. Some of which looked fresh and others old, however, this bloody appearance of his made him more alluring. A female dressed in a pastel blue robe elegantly sat by, watching him. Her fan-like lashes flattered as she watched the scene which seemed to be entertaining to her. In the large windowless room that looked like a torture room, the two occupants gazed at each other. Sauntering towards her crucified lover, the female muttered in a feeble voice, "Cien! how can you say that?" She kept on advancing towards him until she was a hairsbreadth away from him. Her black onyx eyes captured his forest green ones which emitted hate. She faked a sob," I thought you wanted it to be like this?" At the speed of a flipping page, her tone changed as she slightly raised it," I'm sorry if I wasn't a good fiancee, you know I never wished for our relationship to bloom. I remember telling you that I'll do anything..." She trailed off and whispered, "I'd anything to break the shackles that tied me down to you." She caressed his whipped back and smiled evilly, "Goodbye my love, Cien." Under her touch, Cien couldn't help but tremble from it. With that, she turned her back and left and within a few seconds, ear-piercing screams of torture could be heard. Cien watched the woman he loved so dearly exit the room. "How did I love her this much?" he whispered, looking tired but the people whipping him kept doing their job with strength as though panning for gold. Cien Vesper, had finally hit rock bottom when he fell in love with Ezel Young, a vampire hybrid. He was a loving werewolf however, his mate didn't seem to love him. She was cold at heart, selfish and only looked out for what benefited her. That was what he thought of her, at that moment, he got clouded by hate, rage, regret and self blame. Had he listened to her, nothing would have happened but on the other way round, he got to know the real her, this was what she was, fake, a selfish b***h she was! *Whack! Whack!* Went the sound of the whip on his back but Cien has long turned numb and he could no longer scream. His back was red with marks as blood trickled from the wounds but the two tormentors didn't stop whipping him. His forehead glistening with sweat and at the same time his body system was weakening. He was dying after all his loved one had fed him with poison. She has told him earlier, she did. He couldn't believe what he heard when she admitted the truth to him. Was he the same girl that told him she would always love him? Perhaps it was all an illusion and that it was a nightmare where he'd wake up soon after it ended. However, the sound of the whips on his back and the pain he felt proved him to be wrong. Everything was real...it was a painful nightmare. Where did he go wrong? Was his love not enough for both of them? Yes, definitely, it wasn't enough for both them. Had he known it then he would have added more love so they couldn't break up so hurt fully like this. Cien wanted to ask her what he had done wrong in the first place, perhaps forcing her to get engaged to her was the problem so couldn't wait to avenge herself. But did she have to make it so extreme? Unknown to him, a young girl watched from a far as this was going on. She wanted to scream that she was here and that he had betrayed and that it wasn't her who said all those hurtful words to her but she couldn't. She herself was going to die but she couldn't do anything. If she had been strong enough, maybe all this wouldn't have happened. If at all she got a second chance, then she prayed not to meet him. To prevent all the pain she'd caused him, he was such a sweet soul but what had she done? A tear strolled down her eye as she watched her fiance tiredly drop on the flow because as he passed out. He was already strong enough to persevere all those whips. Just as she watched, a voice taunted her,"Have you seen enough? It's quite fascinating, isn't it? I had already told you, you weren't supposed to fall in love with such a creature." "Don't call him that!" hissed the girl staring daggers at the lady beside him. "I swear to my life, in the next life I'll protect you," murmured the girl. With that she chanted a couple of words and earning the attention of the female next to her, "What are you doing, Ezel!" Yelled the female. "You can't waste you powers, I refuse!" The female raised her palms towards the female but it was already to late for the female dropped on the floor lifelessly. One could see the shadow smile plastered on her face. The female rushed to her and picked her up as though she was a light feather. She cursed inwardly, "Damn immortal! How useless!" With that she disappeared with the girl from the spot. From a far an invisible voice sounded, "What a pity! Their love was a curse, a very destructive curse but that's how the cycle moves on and it'll move on." ...
