Dino and I got in his car. In no time, we reach the neighborhood near the Yoon Mansion. Like the Mansion of the Yoon.
The surrounding houses are also large and pompous. I don't think Dino is as rich as the Yoons.
So in what happened today, And in what I see. I was even more worried about whether I should really give Dino a chance. Not because something is missing or he is not worth it. But because I don’t deserve this life.
I don’t want other people to think I’m just using Dino to escape our lives right now.
What I feel for Dino is because of his character that I have not seen in others.
So when I discovered Dino’s lifestyle today, I was scared.
"Here we are."
I woke up mentally when I heard Dino speak.
The car stopped at a massive Modern house and was almost entirely glass. Unlike the Yoon traditional mansions, Dino's house is cozy, full of flowers and bright.
When I got out of the car, Dino held my hand. While I was fascinated by the beauty of their house. I can also see their Garden which is something that matters this spring.
When we entered their house, we were immediately greeted by a sophisticated woman.
"Dino, what happened?" She asked as he looked back at us. Maybe she was wondering who I was.
"Monique, This is my Mom Shirley Choi." I bowed to her Mom. Her mom was pretty, beautiful even.
She smiled at me warmly.
"Mom, this is Monique Kim. The woman I'm dating."
I cough at Dino's sudden introduction.
Her mom eyes go big, Her mouth is opening and closing as to not know what to say.
I nudge Dino in the stomach and he pretended to be hurt.
"What are you saying?"
He just smiled at me.
This evil jerk.
"Oh? So, how long have you been dating?" His mom smiled at us awkwardly. Maybe she was also surprised by what Dino said.
"Just this week, Mom." Dino grinned.
"That so? How about you know.." She gestured her hands to Dino in awkward way, while looking at me from time to time.
"...Mina?" Dino finishes for her.
She nods her head.
"Mina and I are done, Mom. Haven't you heard? She's going to marry Congressman Han."
Her mom was shocked to the news and cover her mouth.
"Oh god. Isn't he too old for her? Oh poor child."
His mom pace back and fort. One hand on her waist, The other on her temple. She looks close to Mina. And it looks like she was in favor for Mina for Dino so she will react like this.
"Don't worry, she doesn't want Mina for me." Dino chuckles while whispering.
He seemed to read right away what I was thinking.
His Mom heard Dino whispers to me and slapped Dino on the shoulder "Yes I don't like her but her situation is pitiful."
"See told you." Dino said. And I smiled at them awkwardly not knowing what to do.
I got to know this side of Dino even better. He’s being playful with his mom which shows he’s close to her.
"Oh, how rude of me. Come inside, Monique." She gestures to their living room.
As we walked to their living room she turned to me again.
"What happened to your uniform? I see you're studying at Daegu High School?"
"Mina happens, Mom." Dino answered for me. I was about to excuse why my uniform had coffee stains in it.
he was so blatant.
I looked at him irritated, But he just smirks.
"What do you mean Mina happen? Mina did this to you? You're a womanizer. Why do you let two women fight because of you? When your Dad finds out about this, I don't know what to do with you." She holds her temple again.
She took me to what I think was their bedroom. And gave me a dress that looked expensive.
It was a knee length baby pink dress with a ribbon around the neck.
"I don't know if I should wear such a nice dress." I smiled at her shyly as she handed me the Dress.
But she put the dress in my hands, she grabbed me by the shoulders and pushed me into the Bathroom. "Oh honey, You definitely should."
I heard Dino laugh outside. I think I already know where her son inherited his attitude.
Nonetheless, Even if they have this kind of Attitude. I feel they have something very good deep inside of them.
"I really like her, Mom." I heard Dino outside the Bathroom. My heart swells at his admissions to his Mom, Even if he knows I can't hear him.
"Oh, you shut up, Young man."
"But I do Mom. Even if I just met her. I know I like her."
My heart fluttered again.
"Are you serious this time? Your relationship with Mina lasted a year but I didn't hear you say that."
"Because it's true. I really like Monique, Mom. I hope you like her too."
"I'm not a problem here, Dino you know that."
"I know. I'll handle him."
Him. His Father?
Her mom sighs "But don't worry, I think I like her."
Things are moving fast. I'm happy because there is someone who somehow liked me even though this is the state of my life I have.
Even if Dino doesn't tell him my background, I know she knows what kind of life I have.
And because of that I am happy because she accepted me wholeheartedly.
Talk about Mother's Love.
