3. The Hunter and the Prey

1632 Words
I felt fear in my bones. The man driving the car was the hunter; I was his prey. He had trapped me and caught me. Now, I was in his hands. Today, when I got into his car, I had to take that man’s words into consideration and go with my father no matter what. I could somehow make him give up on the idea of getting married. My tears continued to flow as Kutay drove. He was a mafia. What if he takes my organ and kills me? As the possibility ran through my mind, I realized that my hands were shaking like an epileptic. It was normal. “What are you going to do to me?” I asked. It was impossible for him not to sense the fear in my voice. My voice was trembling. His lack of an answer made me even more afraid. I had to get rid of him. When I stopped in front of a big house, I saw his men getting out as well. It was impossible for me to escape. I had to find a way. Kutay glanced at me and got out of the car, and he came to my side in two steps. He opened my door and said, “Get out.” I got out slowly. The house that I saw, blurred by my tears, was huge. We were rich too, but we had to have a lot of money to have it like this. There were a lot of guards in front of the house. The house was also surrounded by fences. When Kutay tried to wipe my tears, I pushed his hands away. “Don’t touch me,” I said. He grabbed my hand that I pushed away and pulled me to him. As our breaths mingled, he said, “You will be a smart and well-behaved girl and you will live here. I don’t want you to cause trouble.” I laughed. Although he was surprised by my smile, he quickly pulled himself together. “You know what? There is not a single moment when I don’t cause trouble. If you consider my experience in escaping from home, it is very easy for me to escape from here,” I said in a challenging voice. Kutay grabbed my arm and started dragging me inside. When we entered through the big door, a pure white entrance welcomed me. There were white staircases on the right and left. I loved the huge chandelier at the entrance. Even though I was a captive, I was a woman and I liked the house very much. Kutay dragged me up the stairs on the right, “Let go, you’re hurting my arm!” I said. He loosened my arm a little. When we came to a room, we went inside. The room was very nice. Every piece of furniture was white and very modern. When he noticed me looking around, I looked at him angrily when he said, “Look at me! You’ll have time to examine your room.” If I showed my fear of him, he could do worse. He took a step forward and approached me. “You will never challenge me in front of my men again! Don’t open your mouth! Don’t test my patience, Belemir!” he said. I frowned. “What happens if I test you? Will you kill me, mafia?” I asked. What did I just say to him? Mafia? I looked at Kutay’s expression and tried to gauge his reactions, but he didn’t respond. He gave me a cold smile. “I admire your courage, Belemir. If you want my kindness to continue today, be careful what you say,” he said. It was a warning. He approached me. “As for what will happen, I won’t kill you, Belemir. I will kiss you until you lose your breath,” he said and I stepped back. “You can only kiss me in your dreams! Don’t even come near me! I don’t know why you’re keeping me here, but I’m going to get rid of you,” I said. Where did I get this courage? I was curious too. “Belemir, go to sleep,” I said and grabbed his arm as he was about to leave. “You have to explain! Why are you keeping me here? What did the man say today? You can’t leave me in this room with my questions,” I said. “If you become a smart girl, you will be free and live your normal life, but only if you live here. As for why I am keeping you,” he said and approached me. He put his hand on my lips. He caressed my lower lip with his thumb. I couldn’t even react because I felt a tremor in my lower region from this touch. “You will learn that when the time comes,” he said and withdrew his hand and left the room. That time was hell. I had to get out of here. I opened the bag that was left in my room and looked for my phone, but it wasn’t there. He must have taken it. Damn it! I lay down on the satin and red sheets with a lot of question marks in my mind. Although the white dress I was wearing bothered me, I couldn’t take it off because I didn’t have any clothes with me. I closed my eyes and tried to get into the mood for sleep. *** When I woke up in the morning, I didn’t react when I saw Kutay sitting on the armchair next to my bed, but he got up and caressed my cheek with the back of his hand. What was he trying to do? “Good morning,” he said and withdrew his hand. I didn’t answer. Was he saying good morning as if everything was normal? When I noticed that my dress had ridden up, I fixed it with my hand. “Where’s my phone?” I asked. “No phone until I trust you. You won’t go to school either. I got a report for you,” he said, and my eyebrows furrowed. He had thought of every detail. This wasn’t something that would happen right away. “How many years have you been planning it?” I asked. He looked at me like what. “Kidnapping me,” I said. “Yesterday, Güngör, who we saw, saw you with me. He’s a dangerous person,” he said, and I could tell he was lying. There were different things going on. I had to get rid of him because there were things that scared me. “Are you seeing a child in front of you? I know you’re lying,” I said. Kutay grabbed my arm and pushed me against the door. I couldn’t make sense of the way my heart was beating like crazy, but I assumed it was because of fear. He closed the distance between our lips and said, “I held you captive because I can get anything I want. There doesn’t have to be a reason why I want you,” he said. Was it that easy? When he skipped my lips and moved towards my neck, he left a burning kiss there. Was it normal for me to be so affected by even one kiss? I had to come to my senses. I pushed him away from his chest and slapped him. His head snapped to the right. “Don’t you dare touch me! Even your touches make me sick! Get out of here!” I shouted. He turned his head towards me with dangerous slowness. While I was afraid of his reaction, he did something I would never have guessed and started kissing me. Even though I froze, he was kissing me like crazy. His hands were also roaming my bare legs. Was the price of the slap a kiss? The kiss seemed familiar to me. It was as if I had tasted his lips before. He parted my lips with his tongue. He nibbled on my lower lip while he ravaged the inside of my mouth. He pulled back as this made me moan. We were out of breath. “What did I tell you, Belemir? If you test me, I will kiss you until you are breathless! I stand by what I said,” he said. “Get out of here!” I said. I opened the door of the room and motioned with my head for him to leave. Kutay left without saying anything, then turned around and said, “If you are smart and well-behaved, I will give you your phone, but for now, this rebelliousness must come at a price,” and locked me in the room. I banged on the door and shouted, “You ruined my life in one day! I hate you, Kutay Aslanoğlu.” I knew it was pointless as I continued to bang on the door. I leaned my back against the door and slid down. I put my hands to my lips and started to cry. I was trapped here and there was no way out. While I was crying in uncertainty, I thought about him kissing me. Why was he doing this? So why did I feel different when he kissed me? What was the reason for the feeling of familiarity? I felt like there was an answer to this in the void in my brain. It was impossible for Kutay to be in that void because I did not know him. If I knew him, my family would have told me who he was, but even Aden hadn't mentioned him. So what did he want from me?
