Bianca follows her and grabs her arm if there’s one thing I hate about these girls is the fact that they fight a lot.
“you are not ruining this for our friend Tumi, I swear if you tell Charity I will bury you with my bare hands Do you Understand me?” a hot slap lands on Bianca’s face before she even turns to me “don’t you ever grab me like that, I’m not going to sit here and watch you guys breaking our friends marriage” Tumi storms out leaving both of us shocked at the sudden turn of events “you’re pathetic Tumi, you will always be a nobody” Bianca shouts behind her “Go kill yourselves home wreakers!” She yells back at her.
Wow that turned out well.
“don’t worry friend she’s just a bitter lonely old woman, that man is yours no matter what”.
Comforting someone for something you know that is completely wrong and unacceptable might also serve as stupidity and selfishness. That’s what Bianca feels although she’s too proud to admit it.
“What if Charity really finds out about me and her Husband?” Buyi starts pacing up and down back to her 4 room house which was bought to her by the so called boyfriend soon to be husband. With Bianca running after her like a lost puppy “even if she does Buyi that man is yours and you more than deserve to be happy too” she says patting her shoulder while taking a proper look at the pregnancy test, finding it hard to believe that Buyi would actually take this affair serious to a point of conception.
“I’m not afraid, besides charity and I have been at war for a while now, something has to end this friendship once and for all” buyi sits flat on her couch brushing her really flat tummy “my fiancée and I will survive this, No matter what may come” with a huge sigh almost having her mind completely shut of by what Tumi just said. Imagine if Charity knew about this?! The house, the car and the fast food restaurant Buyi has been running for the past 5 years.
She was so happy she didn’t even stop to think about her future in all of this, come to think of it she never saw the companies papers or the car or the house’s title deed. Vusi always tool care of everything and just delivered everytito her on a silver platter or on a red bonnet or a huge ribbon that had to be cut by Buyiswa. Wasn’t it all a fairy tale? Of course it was…That man loved her with all that he has.
Chapter 2
Far away in the biggest forest in an unknown location where the biggest dumpsite discards unwanted waste.
Luzuko Qhuma.
He has been running from home ever since his mother started getting sick from breast cancer, everything became so hard for him to a point that he had to run away from home.
With his evil step father chasing him everywhere in attempts to kill him and r**e him even more, sometimes he wonders what would’ve been if he knew his real father, the man whom he shared DNA with. But sadly not everyone gets their happy ending, for now he just has to keep looking for a place to hide and something to feed himself on this journey.
He has been running for what seems like 3 weeks now, living from one dumpsite to another and so far it has managed to feed him and clothe him, there’s nothing you can’t find in a dumpsite. Food and clothes are some of those things he usually finds here, so living alone here hasn’t been that hard.
“this doesn’t seem so hard, it’s better than being at home” turning to his walk buddy Jason, one of the street kids fending off from the dumpsite. “yeah I guess you could say that, my mom kicked me out because I reminded her of my dad” he chuckles swallowing a lump of sadness along with that.
“it’s funny how we all have these sad stories about leaving home and most of us end up getting hooked on some drugs” Luzuko mumbles under his breath careful not to hurt Jason’s feelings, “no relax you can say it out loud, I chose this path for myself. I made a decision that I will use these substances to keep me going, I have none to live for now boy” he chuckles again location a rock to sit on.
“for me it’s this way or no way” he breathes out taking out a syringe from his backpack loading it with some liquid substance and injects himself with it. “tie me up boy, C c come on boy, Tt tie my hand like this” giving luzuko a rubber like cord directing him on how to tie,
With sadness in his eyes he tries to help the young fellow obviously there’s nothing he can do or say to change his little mind, this guy looks 15 or 16 and he is already drowning himself in drugs “let me go boy” Jason slips into a deep relaxation trance feeling his muscles relax and nerves ease up.
“you look like hell boy, let me go look for some good stuff over there I will come back for you” luzuko gives him a nudge at the back of his head.
“yeah sure give me 45 minutes at least” he replies trying to raise his head but feeling dizziness striking with defeat and shame he lies down and sinks into the trance, letting his dreams and goals fade away along with his mental sanity. “yah this is the life” he chuckles realizing that he’s now talking to himself again.
Luzuko strides away in great disappointment in himself for not even trying to convince Jason, for actually helping him inject himself with that sure says a lot about him as a friend.
But then he just cannot shake off Jason’s words when he once said that ‘everyone comes from different backgrounds under these bridges, no one is perfect and no one is anybody’s teacher. We chose this path and we the only ones to choose deserting it’
There’s no disputing that, it’s a known idiom that ‘you can take the donkey to the river, but you can’t force the donkey to drink the water’ everyone makes their own choices and chooses whether to stick to them or desert them. And for him he chose to run away from home, from being made to bend and take manhood from behind.
That was so degrading, to his confidence and self actualization, he was mostly confused of his sexuality and that has created a huge void inside his heart and mind. Just as he doesn’t know where he stands now.
“I need to get this out of my head honestly” he mumbles to himself still using the stick he had made last night, for searching and revealing stuff underneath plastics here at the site. His nostrils catch a very strong odor almost like cognac and dead mice. He follows the scent and stumbles upon a rock,
Falls into a black bag surrounded by termites and flies, this sure looks like a body bag, Luzuko quickly jumps and lands on his feet next to the body bag, his heart racing and blood flowing faster than usual.
He could feel deep connection to whatever that was inside this bag and that made his blood boil and his mind racing a hundred times in a second. In a spur of a moment all he felt was deep sadness and loss. It struck him so hard that he fell on his knees and began to cry out loud in deep anguish and confusion.
Something in him pushed him to open the bag, but also something in him told him not to. With great confusion at this feeling he finally pulled himself together to open the bag, as he slowly unzipped it he could swear he was loosing his mind.
A man so peaceful and dead! A man who looked exactly like him but older…
Ha! This is so unbelievable Luzuko thought to himself with his resemblance so real and strange he was just laying there his eyes wide open as if he was shocked. His mouth also open with blood almost dried up coming out if his mouth and nose.
“Am I dreaming?” luzuko blinked twice trying to remove this image of a man who looked like him! A bit old but exactly his resemblance how can this be True?!
Right there all his hopes and dreams shattered, he didn’t know why or how but this felt so personal, this man looked exactly like him, what if this was his long lost father? Or his uncle? What is going on?
With that wave of shock and Ambush the corpses phone started ringing, from his pocket. Someone dumped a body with a cellphone that is still on. Surely these were amateurs.
Luzuko quickly unzipped the bag even more exposing the entire cold body, with holes all over the stomach and chest even on his genital organs! Who could do such a crime though this man was brutally killed, luzuko thought to himself his mind switched off completely.
He searched for the phone from the man’s pockets and finally found it on his jacket, someone put the phone there.
Without hesitation he took the call and timidly spoke “Hhello… I need an ambulance please” he didn’t know what to say but those words just came running out of his mouth and he found himself waiting for the caller to respond.
“who are you and what do you mean you need an ambulance? Where’s the owner of this phone?” an angry woman’s voice spoke almost sounding British and more fluent “Uhm my name is Luzuko, I’m a street uhm I’m a street kid, I was searching for food in a dumpsite and I found this man here in a body bag, he is Dead and he looks like me.. he looks like me!” He says sobbing bitterly.
“Wait wait wait, are you sure it’s the same person? Uhm oh my God where are you? Send me a picture of him and your location on my app immediately use this Number” the woman exhales deeply sounding defeated and very sad.
“Yes mam it is the man on the wallpaper, I don’t know where I am it’s a big site. He was stabbed” he says with his last breath of hope hanging up the call. And quickly dials 10111 locating the nearest police station “Hhello…hello, this is Luzuko there’s a dead man here in a dumpsite, I just found him with a phone it was ringing”
He timidly speaks to the line as the officers are quietly listening “Wooa woa calm own Boss where are you? How did you find the body?” the male Officer replies calling order.
“I’m in a dumpsite I don’t know where is it, but I see a board written Marikana. I heard a phone I followed and found him” he carefully picks his words, remembering that he cannot just claim the scandal. He might even be incriminated because the manner of which they met wasn’t real but more of spiritual connection.
