Don't Stay for the Destruction
Kiki is a nineteen year old girl from Vermont. She just graduated highschool with honors. And wanted to take a year of before going to college. She was accepted at the local community college. Kiki wanted to stay close to her mom, who had complications from diabetes. Kiki has only one sibling; a brother Craig. Craig is three years older. Who always thought of Kiki as his annoying little sister. Never just as his little sister, only when he wanted her to babysit his two young children. when she needed him he would act kind at first and then his true colors would quickly rear up. Unfortunately Kiki always found herself being used,
as a babysitter and house cleaning. Never getting what she truly longed
for. The love and acceptance of
family. Their parents had split. Both parents were off rediscovering themselves. after a messy divorce. Kiki even being put in the middle of that. She would meet her dad for lunch or a movie and at the end of such father daughter dates. Dill would give Kiki the spousal maintenance and child support check to give her mother. Thought Kiki lived with her mom, Kara was often left to take care of her aging grandma who had severe mental health issues. Then if the wind shield or the car broke. Kiki would be forced to pay for it, once with her prom dress money. Then Kara would often be out on dates and forget Kiki at school or the bus stop. The bus stop was 5 miles from home and up a muddy dirt road. Kara would also often say that Kiki could go to a friend's house or to a school dance. Then say that Kiki gave her an attitude or didn't do something to Kara's expectations. At the last minute say she couldn't go and then say that Kiki was rude and disrespectful for being disappointed. she felt like everyone was against her. Her gram soon passed away. Then Kara and Kiki moved out of the country and ito a small town near by. Kiki is looking for a job. This is when it happens. Kiki meets Ross through mutual friends. Kiki recognized Ross from Tech school and she instantly wanted to reconnect. That evening she and the mutual friends went to Ross's parents' house where Ross rented their basement, as his bedroom. Ross worked at a local bakery. Kiki asked Ross if his boss was hiring. Kiki too knew about bread making from a young age. Because she loved helping her grandma make bread for the holidays. Kiki was so excited, that things might finally be looking up for her. She almost forgot about her demanding older brother, Craig. He would soon take most of Kikis night's and weekends from her because his kids need their babysitter. God forbid she ever had plans of her own. one weekend, night Kiki did just that. She planned on going to watch wrestling with Ross on Paper view. When Craig heard of Kiki's plans, he tore down to Ross's parents' apartment house. Craig stepped out of his big black and Chrome monster truck. He yelled at Kiki so Loudly that Ross's dad, Dale came down stairs. Dale is a veteran and doesn't take fools lightly. Crag toor up their dirt driveway with ruts you could park a small car in. Dale is now completely upset probably mostly about the driveway and Crag's blatant disrespect for him. That he went and found Crag at Kara's apartment just up the street. Dale, said; fix my driveway. Then apologize to my son and your sister. Craig did, but that didn't stop his constant pressuring of Kiki to babysit. At one point Kiki had Craig's kids for months at a time. Finally tho Crag got himself together and now has a wife and other children.
Kiki and Ross had been working together and dating, I know bad idea. Actually they were grate together. until one day her world was flipped upside down again.
Kiki was just feeling so tired and she was having strange cravings for peanut butter crackers with mustard. Kiki took a home test and it was negative. So She went to her PCP who then recommended PPH. PPH did a blood test. Kiki was in her first trimester of pregnancy. She couldn't wait to tell Ross, who was at work that day. But by the time she got back from PPH, the happy news had already been turned against her. Kiki then remember the other pregnancy test she did. Then not thinking about it threw it away at Ross's in the basement bathroom trash. Ross's half sister; Sky and their mother; Kali, then confronted me in front of Dale. Kiki was kicked out that day. Ross was not supportive of, what should have been one of the happiest days for us. Instead he sided with his bio. family. Kiki moved forty minutes away to her dad's apartment. The next day, Kiki found a job at a cafe, in a gas station. Ross kept in touch and Kiki visited when she could. Kiki and Jr her son, even at her dad's couldn't catch a break. she slept on a cheap air mattress that was usually flat by morning. She walked a mile an a half each way, to an from work in pouring rain or sun so hot you could have fried an egg on the side walk. she also did most of her dad's chores and cooking at home. Nine months passed by quickly. Then her work fired her when she asked for maternity leave. She didn't qualify for it. They hired her knowing that she was expecting. Anyway the day was finally here. She was going to meet Jr. She spent that night with Ross and his family. Kiki's water broke the night before. Jr was born the next afternoon. A healthy baby boy.
That was just a part of this nightmare Kiki called a life.
