Chapter 25

Xander pov

I felt uneasy telling her about my parents. But once it was out, I felt better. I knew eventually I would have to talk about them, I just didn't know it would be this soon. We got back to the restaurant and helped close, I told her that once we got back home, I had the contract for her to look at. I was nervous about this. What happens if she decides it was a bad idea? I need a pup to take over as king once I am gone. I need her to fall in love with me. I think it's the reason why I told her a little bit about my life. I had to say something, or she would start asking questions, When we finally got home, i was tired but i knew i needed to show her the contract, and she needed to read it and make her own decisions, we went into my office, She sat down in front of the desk and i sat down on my chair, i slid the contract to her, I told her to mark out whatever she didn't like and write down whatever she thinks that needs to be in there. she sat there and started reading, and trust me, i was nervous when she started reading it,

LeeAnn pov

We sat down in his office, this was the first time i was in here and it looked really nice, He had a huge marble desk bigger than my dads, he had books shelves on the walls and filing cabinets six by each wall, and trust me, you have to have a huge room for these things and that's what he had, he also had scrolls in their own scroll holes, a huge flat screen on the wall, that he told me was just a regular tv, but i think its for watching the castle and what else he wanted to see, he had two huge windows that was tinted that he told me he could look out but others could not look inside, when we sat down he slide the contract in front of me, he then told me do a few things,

“Mark out whatever I didn't like and write down whatever I think needs to be in there.” Alright So i sat back, crossed my legs and started reading, the contract was five pages long, I thought it was no big deal until i started reading it, it stated that the queen must fulfill all her duties to the king, meaning that she would have to satisfy him sexually, and within a year if i fall in love with him than we must have a child so the child could take over the throne when he is ready to step down. would i be ready to have a child in a year im only in my twenties, would i be ready to even have s*x with him, i don't even hardly know him that much all i know that he is the king, his cousin is a white witch, and that his parents died during the cold war, that's all i know, im going to have to get to know him a heck of a lot more before we even consider having s*x, So i took the pen off the desk and started writing down my things that i will be needing from him.

this is what i wrote down,

number one, i will not fulfill all the kings' needs unless i know what they are,

number two, it's going to take more then just a few hours to fall in love, i want to know everything about you, the likes and dislikes, what food he likes the drinks he likes, what's his favorite color, what size is his clothes and his shoes, how many cousins does he have does he have any brothers or sisters, and so on

number three, i want complete honesty, i want nothing held back, if i ask something i want to know the complete truth and thats what you will get from me, having s*x its not completely off the table but it's when i am ready not when you are ready, having a child, i am only in my twenties, give me some time to think about it,

Four, if you lie to me, i will never trust you. so you have that to think about,

five, i want the truth why you really wanted me as a mate. I'll give you time to tell me so the clock is ticking, you do this, and this i will do for you,

I will be honest at all times, if you ask me anything that you think you should know i will tell you, I will not hide anything from you unless its your birthday and i must hide things from you than, I will do my best to make you happy at all times, i will cook dinner for you three times a a week you name the days i will then cook on those days,

I will clean the bedroom when it needs to be clean,

I will be at every meeting that you have, but remember I do have my restaurant and my hotel. i will not give them up, i hope you understand, with that i didn't sign it until he looked at it, i slide it back to him, he picked it up and started reading it, after a few minutes he nodded and than signed it, he slide it back to me, i grabbed it than signed it, we even shook hands on it,

"Let's make sure no one finds this thing. We don't need any drama with it.”

“You know, that sounds like a good idea, i have just the perfect place for this,” i watched as he got up went to the right wall he pushed something in the wall opened up., he placed it on a counter shelf than pushed something on the wall again, the wall closed with a thud,

"Just how many secret places do you have? he smirked and told me he had tons of places where he hid things that way nothing could ever be found. Even my dad had hidden places that he kept things at, i have yet to find them, i just found this hidden room a few weeks ago and i've been king for many years, So are you hungry, i have a kitchen upstairs that i cook inside of, come on lets go ill show you,” We left the office to head upstairs,

“Yeah, I just redid them. Would you like to see it?” But when we got out of the car, stopped in her tracks, her mouth fell open, w. Was it i shock? What's going on?

“LeeAnn, what's the matter. Are you okay. Did something happhappen“No, nothing happened. I'm just amazed that the hotel is almost done. What did you tell your men to do?” I shrugged not, thinking about anything than I told her.

“Well, I just gave them the list you had written down and, thanthenold them if they needed to buy anything tha, thenso. Did they do anything wrong? I can get them to redo it.”

“No,No, nothing is wrong., I' jut shocked to see how much is done here.when did they start working? I mean , the alooks amazing.” I couldn't help but laugh, she. Shejust so cute in her shocked look on her face.

“Well, they started this morning, but they work fast and know what to do. Your guys are fast too., Come on let', go nside and take a look.” So that's what we did.

LeeAnn pov

“What the h3ll happened a day ago this place was six months to a year tó be done. But when we got here and out of the car, kd to be almost done. He told me they started this morning and that they were fast and good at their job. I needed to go look inside just to make sure everything was okay. I knew the lobby was already done. So was the dining room and the kitchen, what about the bedrooms and the indoor and outdoor pools, I took a quick look at the things that were already done. And then we went to the rooms. The last things were the playgrounds and the pools and then the gardens. The pools looked amazing as well. The lighting was perfect. I made sure the juzzi were heated, and tables were set to the side with chairs. Even lounge chairs were there, so I checked the outside pool as well. Theyd a kids side and the adults' side little floaties for them. And the playground. The last was the gardens. I opened the gate so we could walk inside.

I watched as Xander stood there looking around. He looked like he was a kid again. The way he was looking at itm he stepped forward and started talking,

‘You know. When I was just a kid, we would come here so mom and dad could get away either that or have meetings. I would come to this garden right her and sit down to watch the birds dive down to catch a bug or two. I would run around with the other kids playing tag or hide and go seek.. I would stay in here for hours just watching the animals that would come in here and eat. Sometimes, deer or a rabbit, sometimes even a raccoon , ouldcome in here. And then when Mom or dad would call me. I would get up to run to them and jump in their arms.”

Xander, what happened to them? I may ask?’ he sighed as he looked at me teary-eyed and wasn't sure if he wanted to talk about it. I was hoping he would open up to me. But if he didn't tha, 's okay as well. But to my surprise he opened up like a book.

“I was just a teenager when it happened. They died so long ago. My mother got killed in the cold war they had her locked in a room so we couldn't get to her, we heard her screams of terror pleading to them to let her go. But then the screams stopped and, I new what had happened. I shifted into King dest, oying the door and whoever was inside of it. When I shifted back I grabbed my mother holding her in my arms rushing her to the hospital. I didn't know my father had already died. They shot him in the heart. The doctors did whatever they could to save her

But we all knew once someone's mate dies, they will too. I pleaded to her to love for me don't leave me here by myself, but she left me two hours after the doctors tried to help her. They are buried together in a grave, that's what they wanted to be buried together, I'll show you sometime if you want.” He cleaned the tears from his eyes than he looked at me.

“Wait, you said the cold war? Xander, how old are you?’ He laughed hard. I guess he didn't think about telling me how old he was. I loved his laughter. His eyes sparked when he laughed.

“Thanks I needed that. You asked how old I am. Just think. I could be your great, great triple that great grandfather

But I'm not. I'm over four centuries old. Over 3000 years old dear mate. And I'm still taking names in kicking ass. I don't feel a year older mymother and faster were much older. Come on
