Chapter 24
LeeAnn pov
I was praying to the moon goddess to hopefully get rid of this stuff I have on me. It was just too heavy, and I really felt uncomfortable wearing it, so when Xander told me it would be only for ceremonies, I was so thankful for that. We placed it in a safe, and then he reminded me of work and that I had to change. So I hurried out of the dress not even thinking of Xander being in the room, I picked out my slacks and a blue button up shirt, then I took my hair down and placed it in a ponytail, I was ready to head out. I remembered I had to get the payroll done and then head over to the hotel to check to see how everything was going.
“Do you think we can head over to th hotel so I can check up on things, I need to do the payroll for my employees and the. That's it. I usually help close, so after I check up on the hotel, we head back to the restaurant to help clean and close.”
“Of course we can do that. Thank you for including me in on this,” Why was he thanking me, we had to act like we were fated mates, which means we should be together all the time, right? So I told him that.
“You did say we had to act like fated mates, right? So fated mates are always together,I know sometimes they have to work, but let's do this for a while so no one would wonder why we are always apart.”
“You're right. Well, let's get going so we can get this done.”

I can't believe it. I just can't see how they really marked each other. Did she really lie to me so I would keep giving her money? Are they really fated mates? This will be the last time I speak to this woman, and then I'll put everything in my hands. I called her number, asking to see her. And again I was transported to her house. Her cat hissing at me as always.
“So, what do you want now? I told you everything that you need to know.”
“I wanted to see you because they marked each other. They f*****g marked each other, I thought they weren't fated mates. If they weren't the marks wouldn't stick. I won't be giving you any more money, I'm done. I'm putting what comes next In my hands now.* She laughed at me. She actually laughed at me in a weird tone. Like she knew this would happen or something.
“They are not fated mates. Trust me they aren't. But if you insist of handling it in your own, your more then welcome to do so, at least I won't have to see your face anymore and with that she had me back in my room I put the phone up to my ear knowing she had something more to say,
“ You will learn that doing it your way will not work. I won't put up with disrespect, and I'll deal with the king my own way. He can't break the spell I put on him. I will have my revenge.” Then she hung up on me. I shuddered as I deleted her contact information. I don't want anything else to do with her. She is just too weird for my taste. I pulled my books out, yes I have books that if someone catches me with I would be sentenced to death. Noone in the kingdom is supposed to mess with black magic. Well none had to know about it.do they?”

When we finally got to the restaurant, I knew what I needed to get done. Xander came into the restaurant with me. It was funny how everyone stopped what they were doing, staring our way. They almost dropped to their knees to bow,
“Listen guys. Just treat us like we are people, okay? I know you're from LeeAnns pack. So her friends are my friends now, Xander had said.” they nodded and started working again. Izzy came over to me, hugging me tightly.
“I'm sorry I didn't get to see you before you left. My mate is the beta of the Green Wolf pack, so I'm the beta female now. I told him I wasn't going to give up my job.hes here waiting for me to get off work. I see yours is here, too. She hugged me back to work so we could leave. LeeAnn, you're the queen now, so why are you here working?” Wow, she could talk fast, I hugged her back and told her the same thing.
“I wasn't going to give up my place because I'm with him now. I'm here to do the payroll so y'all can get paid.”
“Oh damn go do that than,” she laughed a she went her way, I went into the office for on the computer and started doing what I had to do, two hours later everything was done, I went out there and told them.
“Okay guys you will be getting paid in two days, so keep a lookout in your accounts. I'll be back to help close up, I have to go and see how the hotel is doing. We left heading to the hotel.
Xander pov
When we got to her restaurant, I was amazed at how beautiful it looked inside. She has done an amazing job. Her friends hugged her, and then she went into the office to do payroll. I went around to take in everything. She had tables in the middle and around the area, but there was space to walk. No one could bump into each other. There were either lamps or flowers in the middle of the tables. The chairs matched Italian pictures, which were hanging up on the walls. I went into the kitchen, and the cooks were cleaning their stations up. When they saw me, they stopped and bowed.
“Guys don't do that, I'm just here with LeeAnn. Just treat me like I'm just a regular person, alright.” They nodded and started cleaning again. It took a few hours for her to get done, so I kept looking around she even had a host station so the customers could be seated. I wondered how long it took her to get this place up and going. I'll ask her once we are back home.once she was done, she told them they would get paid in a few days. She would be back in a few hours to help close. We got back in the car and took off to the hotel. It took thirty minutes to get to the hotel. When we got there, I realized I had seen this hotel before. Me and my parents came here so long ago we wanted to take a few days for ourselves. I played in the garden for hours, and I wondered if it was still there.
“You seem lost in thought. Is everything okay?’
“Yeah, I just remember this place. When I was a kid, I used to play in the gardens while my mom and dad had their meetings. Are there still gardens here?” she started smiling from ear to ear. I just thought to myself. I just opened up to her about my parents. It was still a sore subject talking about them, but I knew sooner or later I would have to talk about them,
