The drive seems to take an age. As we crawl closer to the frat house, the road chokes up, cars lining both sides of the street, all pointing toward the party ahead. ‘Just pull over here, I’ll walk the rest’ I mumble to the driver, digging into my pocket and pulling out some bills that I shove toward him. ‘Are you sure kid? I can try and get a little closer’ the older man says, frowning as he stops in the middle of the street. ‘I’m sure’ I reply, already unclipping my seatbelt and reaching for the door handle as he shrugs and takes the cash from me. Climbing out, I mutter a distracted thanks and slam the door shut before turning toward the noise and making my way toward the building in the distance.
