Can't bully her anymore

"Ashley, give it up. She would rather be scolded and caught cheating than get your help. Can't you see that?" One of their classmates said, causing the others around him to laugh. 

"HA HA HA, but if she really did cheat somehow, we will have a good show later on." Another one said. 

Everyone chatted while they waited on the teacher to name the system design results. Thankfully it was scored with a computer program and wouldn't take more than 10 minutes. While Jessy waited on the results, she browsed on her phone and didn't pay attention to the daggers being sent her way by Ashley. Ashley couldn't figure out why Kelsey was so different today.

In the past Ashley pulled this same trick on Kelsey often and Kelsey would never even try to take up for herself. This time though Kelsey used Ashley's method against Ashley and beat her. Ashley had always been jealous of Kelsey's beauty and intelligence, that is one of the reasons why Ashley used this method to get people to spread rumors and talk bad about her. Besides that, Ashley treated Kelsey as her personal ATM machine. Ashley always got Kelsey to buy her things with the promise that she would pay her back. 

Ashley was brought out of her thoughts by the teacher. "Attention everyone. As you all know, I gave each of you five months to design a new technology system online and the top three winners will get to go to Jackson Technology Corp. lab for further study and will also be allowed to enter the Robot War Games this year." 

Everyone already knew Josh would be a winner, if not first place and suspected that Ashley would also place in the top three because Josh helped her. As they were making guesses to themselves the teacher announced, "Okay, third place goes to Brittany Jenkins, Second place goes to Josh Henry and first place goes to Kelsey Long! Congratulations you three. Meet me after class to get everything you need for Jackson Tech."

"Wait, Mrs. Walters. Kelsey cheated. She completed this assignment within 30 minutes before class, She doesn't deserve to win first place or any other place." Ashley yelled.

"Kelsey is what she said true? Did you finish this 30 minutes before class?" Mrs. Walters asked. 

"Yes, Ma'am. I also know that the computers here are programed to stop any form of cheating or hacking, so you and I both know that this was created by me,."

"You are absolutely amazing! I've only heard of a handful of others who were able to accomplish this as quickly as you did." Mrs. Walters replied excitedly.

"I can show you guys quickly how I did it but first I think I should point out that there are some people here that truly did cheat and used despicable methods to get others to do the work for them. If you run the code on the assignments to look for similarities you will find that person." Jessy said with a smirk while looking at Ashley. 

"Yes, yes, Give me just a moment." Mrs. Walters said as she rushed to her computer and started the program.

Ashley started to panic and sweat was rolling down her back while she waited to see if she would be caught for cheating. Just as she was thinking of a way to stop the teacher from figuring everything out, Mrs. Walters called her name. "Ashley, would you like to explain to me why you have the same coding as Josh this time? I know this is coding because it has barely changed since the beginning of the school year. If not for all the other students that have successfully completed this assignment, I might have asked myself if my teaching with up to par but maybe the issue is with you. Do you need extra tutoring or maybe you should change your major. If you you need to change your major because you don't understand then I won't report this but if you insist on staying with out taking the tutoring or changing major, I will report it to the Dean." 

Ashley was so pissed at Kelsey that she tried to attack her but Jessy was experienced in hand to hand combat and easily dodged her attack. Ashley fell to the floor and screamed at Jessy. "Kelsey how can you snitch on me like that? I am supposed to be your best friend! I can't believe you."

"How did I snitch on you Ashley? I never mentioned your name when I told her to run that program. Hell I didn't expect that anyone cheated, it was another way to clear my name since YOU who is my best friend, DID accuse me of cheating. By the way, since we are on the topic of you being my best friend, I am low on cash and have made a list of everything I bought you that you promised to pay me back for. You owe me $450,000.I only counted the things I bought you since the beginning of the year. We are best friends after all." Jessy said pitifully.

"How could you spend that much of a friends money on material things? I could understand if you borrowed it for family or something important but clothes and purses? Kelsey was way too nice to you. Hurry up and pay her back. Look how hard it was for her to even ask you for what you owe her." One of the guys sitting beside Ashley said. 

Ashley gritted her teeth and angrily said, "Kelsey, you know I don't have that much money and won't be able to pay you back for awhile. Besides your parents are rich, what could you possibly need that money for?"

"Just because my parents are rich, doesn't mean I can get whatever I want Ashley. My friends mom needs a surgery and I want to help her out by donating the money. If you don't have the money, sell the things I bought and give me that money and I will give you time to make up for it. I need the money by Friday so I need you to sign this IOU. I'm sorry although you are my dear best friend, I need this money to save a life so I will have to take you to court if you don't pay." Jessy said with tears in her eyes as if it really hurt her to do this to her best friend.

"Ashley hurry up and sign the IOU, I will dismiss you from class early to gather the money." Mrs. Walters said while shooting a sympathetic look toward Kelsey.

"Kelsey, you lying b***h! You have no other friends besides me. You are using this as an excuse to embarrass me." Ashley spat out angrily.

"Ashley what are you talking about? You don't know my other friends because you never want others to go shopping with us. Here look this is my friends mom that needs surgery. She needs a new kidney and unfortunately I am not a match. HEY! That's it! If you don't have the money you can donate a kidney. If I remember right, you have the same blood type." Jessy said as she held her phone out for everyone to see. It was a picture of Kelsey with a middle age woman with a pale haggard face sitting on a hospital bed.

"Ashley hurry up and do something. Look at this poor woman. You can tell she is in pain. Either get the cash or donate a kidney. You can't be selfish and you already promised to pay Kelsey back verbally." Josh impatiently said to her, while others murmured their agreement. 

Ashley thought for a second, no way in hell was she giving a kidney away. She would sign the IOU. Kelsey would be back to her submissive way in a few days. She can't change her entire being that quickly. 

"Okay, I'll sign the IOU." Ashley grabbed the paper and quickly signed her name without reading it.

"Great as the agreement says, you owe me $450,000 by 8:00 Friday morning, for every hour past 8:00 you owe 10% interest. Now I will sign and then send a picture immediately to my lawyer, I will ask Mrs. Walters to make a copy for you and I will take the original until my lawyer arrives. He should be here before class ends."  Jessy signed her name, snapped a picture and typed out a message, before asking the teacher to make a copy. 

Ashley stood there dumbfounded. She had no idea where she was going to get that much money. She thought she could trick Kelsey again. How is it possible for someone to change so much in just a few days? 

While Ashley was in a trance, other classmates were offering their help. Even the ones that didn't have money offered to sit with the patient so she wasn't alone. 

This time the tears in Jessy's eyes were real." Turns out there are still some good people in this world," she thought.

"Thank you, everyone. I will let you know if I need anything else." Jessy said with a watery smile.
