Seeing the true face

When Jessy got up the next morning and got ready for classes, she searched Kelsey's memory to figure out what major she was taking. Jessy was surprised and very happy when she learned she was a technology major but a little disappointed when she figured out that she had missed several classes and had not done the homework that was due today, because of her dads schemes to get her in Adam Jacksons bed.
Looking at the clock, there was still a half hour before class started. If she went now she could finish the homework in time. Grabbing her bag and a granola bar, she rushed out the door and to the lab that her first class would to place in.
Reaching the class and booting up the computer, Jessy searched her memory for what the homework assignment was. After remembering it was to design a new system, she got to work.
Codes started to fly across the screen as she busily typed on the keyboard, she was so engrossed in her work that she didn't notice her classmates who came in and were watching her over her shoulder.
Her concentration was broken when she heard a familiar voice. "Kelsey, why are you back?" The girl looked back and forth between Kelsey and the computer screen. Searching Kelsey's memory, Jessy figured out that this girl was Kelsey's so called "best friend" Ashley Warn. Kelsey was too naive to notice how Ashley always schemed against her but Jessy was able to pick it up without having to remember all their moments together.
"Humph. Am I not allowed to be in class? What's the point of being a student here if I can't come?" Jessy said sarcastically.
Ashley was thrown off by her attitude but didn't let that stop her from doing what she always had to Kelsey, expecting the same outcome. So she lowered her voice but still deliberately made sure it was loud enough for others to hear before saying, " I heard that you went on a date with a few handsome guys the last few days and thought you would rest for awhile before coming back that is all."
Her words made it seem as if she really cared about Kelsey, however she was also conveying that Kelsey was a slut and giving others a rumor to spread about Kelsey.
Kelsey raised her lips with an icy smile and pitched her voice exactly like Ashley did, "How about you? Have you returned to the dorms yet after using your body to get Josh to do your homework for you? Please tell me you used protection with him or at the very least the morning after pill. You don't want to get pregnant like last time."
As soon as Jessy said that Ashley's face immediately turned pale and shouted "Kelsey! What are you talking about? I have nothing to do with Josh."
"Really?" A guy with shaggy, dirty blonde hair, wearing a white t-shirt and jeans, said as he walked closer to Kelsey and Ashley. "If you have nothing to do with me, I want the usb with MY work on it back." Josh said through clenched teeth. He couldn't believe he fell for this skanks tricks. He was finally seeing her true face.
All the students standing around obviously heard what was being said and started gossiping about Ashley. Kelsey turned her head trying to hide her smile, swearing to herself that she would not allow anyone to bully her after being reborn and getting a second chance.
Ashley tried getting everyone to stop gossiping about her by once again trying to put Kelsey in the bad light. "OH, no. Kelsey are you just now doing the homework? We were given five months to do this. Do you really think you can finish it before class starts and if you can do you think you can get a passing grade? Don't forget others will be able to look at this program... here le-"
"Done." Jessy cut Ashley off before she could keep going. "Done? Kelsey are you crazy? You can't finish this that fast and get a passing grade. If you did you must have cheated somehow. Hurry up and let me help you before the teacher gets here." Ashley acted concerned and appeared to be helpful.
"Nah, I think I will take my chances. Teacher is here anyways. Thanks though." Jessy said calmly.
"Hope you won't regret this Kelsey. I offered my help and now you will be caught cheating." Ashley snapped.
"We'll see." Jessy said over her shoulder.
